Dolphins WR Allen Hurns is Inactive Today Vs. the Patriots

Hurns (ankle, neck) will not play vs. the Patriots. Although this will give Isaiah Ford and other Dolphins’ pass catchers more targets, they are only viable in large-field GPPs against the Patriots’ top-ranked passing and overall defense.

Hurns is listed as questionable for Sunday with both a neck and shoulder injury. The emergence of Isaiah Ford appears to have moved Hurns down to fourth on the WR depth chart.

The Dolphins have multiple injury issues at WR: Parker and Wilson were both limited with concussions, while Hurns did not practice Wednesday.

Dolphins Sign Receiver Allen Hurns to Contract Extension

The Dolphins signed Hurns to a two-year extension. The veteran is in line for an expanded role starting Sunday with Preston Williams on IR.

Albert Wilson (Hip, Calf) Limited, Allen Hurns (Concussion) Does Not Practice

Wilson didn't play the previous two weeks, but he also didn't practice either of the previous Wednesdays. He is at least progressing and has a shot to return to the Dolphins Week 4. Hurns suffered a particularly brutal looking concussion Week 3, so it would be shocking to see him play this week.

Allen Hurns in Concussion Protocol, Week 4 Status Unknown

Hurns suffered the injury Week 3 and is in the concussion protocol. He should be considered doubtful for this upcoming week. Hurns has played a minor role in the offense, totaling 3 catches for 41 yards over the first 3 weeks.

Giggy Up Cowboy

The Dallas Cowboys signed Allen Hurns in the offseason and subsequently released Dez Bryant while having Jason Witten retire on them. Now Hurns appears to be the #1 WR on a team with a massive run threat and solid QB. From a DFS perspective, Hurns seems like a solid boom or bust WR from week to week. The Cowboys style of play won’t let them get into many shootouts. However Hurns does have talent, as evidenced by his 1,000+ yards and 10 TD season back in 2015, before injuries have ruined the last 2 seasons.

Allen Hurns and Keelan Cole to play, Marqise Lee out

As expected the Jaguars will not have Marqise Lee for the season finale as he is dealing with a multi-week ankle injury. The team announced today that both Allen Hurns and Keelan Cole will play this week. Hurns will attempt to play for the first time in almost two months and will join Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole in 3 wide receiver sets. The whole passing offense has a great matchup against the Titans' 28th-ranked defense in pass DVOA. As of now, the Jaguars claim that they plan to play all healthy starters this Sunday, and the time on the field could be big for Hurns as he looks to work his way back into the offense.

Marqise Lee still out, but Allen Hurns and Marcedes Lewis return to practice on Thursday

Marqise Lee is believed to be dealing with a multi-week ankle injury and it's doubtful that he suits up Sunday with the Jaguars having already clinched the AFC South. Hurns could return after practicing all of last week before not suiting up last Sunday. Marcedes Lewis returned to practice on Thursday but has not been much of a factor in the Jaguars passing game over the last few weeks. The whole passing offense has a great matchup against the Titans' 28th-ranked defense in pass DVOA. As of now, the Jaguars claim that they plan to play all healthy starters this Sunday.
