Andre Johnson retiring from football

One week after his former teammate Arian Foster decided to call it quits, Andre Johnson is joining him as he has announced that he is retiring from the Tennessee Titans. He hasn't been fantasy relevant for a couple of seasons but retires after having had a great career. This should open up more opportunities for Tajae Sharpe and Kendall Wright but both are hard to trust in a Titans offense that is heavily reliant on DeMarco Murray and the run game.

Joe Haden not expected to play against the Titans

Haden injured his groin during practice this week, which will likely keep him sidelined in Week 6. His absence is a big bump to Andre Johnson and Tajae Sharpe. Combined they line up on Haden's side on 81% of the Titans' snaps. They'll both see a healthy dose of rookie Briean Boddy-Calhoun, which is a very good thing for them.

Joe Haden misses practice Friday, questionable for Sunday

Haden was downgraded from limited yesterday to did not participate today. He's injured his groin over the course of the week, which has put his playing status against the Titans in question. Cleveland's defense has been pretty awful this season, and if Joe Haden can't go it's a further upgrade to Marcus Mariota, Tajae Sharpe, and Andre Johnson. The Browns will still have Jamar Taylor on the outside, who has a 79.7 score from PFF. However, Sharpe and Johnson line up on Joe Haden's side 41% and 40% of their snaps respectively, providing a very nice matchup with the Browns fourth corner, rookie Briean Boddy-Calhoun.

Andre Johnson expected to start over Rishard Matthews this weekend

Johnson is expected to start at the "Z" spot with Rishard Matthews being used to spell Tajae Sharpe at the "X" spot. Matthews has been dreadful so far in his time with the Titans, but they've really gotten nothing going in terms of the aerial attack. Andre Johnson has been the better player through the first quarter of the season and while he's clearly past his prime, he may still be a slight upgrade for Marcus Mariota. There seems to be very little trust between Mariota and the pass-catchers outside of Delanie Walker, and this move may have been made to help Mariota feel more comfortable. It's still very tough to feel good about rostering any members of the Tennessee passing game.

Kendall Wright will not play Week 1

Kendall Wright has been ruled out for the Titans Week 1 tilt with the Vikings. It's going to be the Rishard Matthews/Tajae Sharpe show at WR with Delanie Walker eating up targets from the TE spot. Sharpe is one of the most interesting punt plays of the weekend at the receiver spot, and it's even more evident with Wright out of the picture. Sharpe is priced at the minimum on DraftKings, where his PPR abilities (in college, at least) make him a very intriguing play that will allow you to roster guys like Antonio Brown and Julio Jones alongside him. Wright currently doesn't have a timetable for a return and Mike Mularky has stated that he'll run a combination of Harry Douglas, Marc Mariani and Andre Johnson in the slot during the final few practices of the week.
