Andre Roberson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Steven Adams (leg) available to play Sunday; Andre Roberson (foot) ruled out

Despite originally being listed out on the Thunder's injury report, head coach Billy Donovan clarified that Adams is indeed active and will be available to play in Sunday's matchup against the Washington Wizards after missing one game due to lower right leg contusion. His return to the lineup will likely send Nerlens Noel back to the bench to resume a reserve role, and even if Adams is limited in some way, Noel becomes a less intriguing daily fantasy option in tournament formats since Mike Muscala is also available off the bench following his passing of the NBA's concussion protocol yesterday afternoon.

Hamidou Diallo (knee) and Andre Roberson (knee) listed out Tuesday

Diallo has been listed out and won't play in Tuesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a sprained left knee that's now forced him to miss three games. Diallo ended up drawing the start at small forward in last Tuesday's loss with Terrance Ferguson unavailable, but he was mostly ineffective from a fantasy perspective in 22 minutes of action. Head coach Billy Donovan already confirmed that Ferguson will remain in the starting lineup in tonight's contest after logging at least 35 minutes in each of the previous two contests, while Abel Nader and Deonte Burton will pick up the slack on the wing with Diallo missing from the second unit.

Andre Roberson (patellar tendinitis) will start Wednesday

Roberson has been cleared to play and will start in tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, according to head coach Billy Donovan, after previously being upgraded to questionable on the Oklahoma City Thunder's injury report with left patellar tendinitis that had forced him to miss eight consecutive games. Roberson won't have a strict minute restriction in his first game back, but his minutes will be monitored by the Thunder coaching and medical staffs to ensure his knee is responding normally. However, his presence will still displace Terrance Ferguson from the starting shoot guard position and also eat into the playing time of Josh Huestis off the bench. After a couple of outlier performances, Ferguson had essentially settled into a timeshare on the wing with Huestis and Alex Abrines while Roberson was sidelined, and he's failed to exceed 10 fantasy points in four of the last five games. That said, it's safe to say that all of the Thunder's ancillary wing players can now be avoided in daily fantasy formats with Roberson available to play this evening.

Andre Roberson (patellar tendinitis) questionable Wednesday

Roberson has officially been listed as questionable on the Oklahoma City Thunder's injury report for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to left patellar tendinitis that has forced him to miss eight consecutive games. If Roberson is able to make his return for Wednesday's contest, there's currently been no confirmation whether or not he'll be subject to a minute restriction. However, he will almost certainly displace Terrance Ferguson from the starting shoot guard position and also eat into the playing time of Josh Huestis off the bench. After a couple of outlier performances, Ferguson has essentially settled into a timeshare on the wing with Huestis and Alex Abrines while Roberson has been sidelined, and he's failed to exceed 10 fantasy points in four of the last five games. That said, it's safe to say regardless of Roberson's availability, that all of the Thunder's ancillary wing players can avoided in daily fantasy formats this evening.

Paul George (knee) will play Sunday; Andre Roberson (knee) ruled out

George has been cleared to play and will suit up for tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks after his status was previously unknown following a one-game absence due to a sore left knee, while Andre Roberson has been ruled out due to left patellar tendinitis despite never appearing on the Oklahoma City Thunder's injury report at any point throughout the day. Head coach Billy Donovan did not disclose his replacement in the starting lineup and the typical leading candidate, Alex Abrines, only logged nine minutes in his spot start for Friday's contest, giving way to Josh Huestis and Raymond Felton in the rotation, each of whom saw an increase in playing time with George sidelined. Somewhat surprisingly, Russell Westbrook has seen a significant bump in his per minute production with Roberson off the court this season, as he has averaged 1.63 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.57 on FanDuel, and also still leads the Thunder with a 37.8% usage rate in this scenario.

Andre Roberson (ankle) will start Friday, but will have a minute restriction

Roberson has been cleared to play and will start in tonight's game against the Philadelphia 76ers after previously being listed as out on the Oklahoma City Thunder's game notes due to a sprained right ankle that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. Roberson will take over his normal shooting guard spot in the starting lineup but, according to head coach Billy Donovan, will be subject to a minute restriction in his first game back. This means that Alex Abrines will head back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role following two spot starts where he was relatively inconsistent but did average 28 minutes per game. Roberson owns a lowly 9.2% usage rate on the season and averages just 0.56 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 0.60 on FanDuel, keeping him out of consideration for daily formats on a nearly nightly basis.

Andre Roberson (ankle sprain) ruled out Wednesday

Roberson was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice but has been ruled out and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers due to a sprained left ankle that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. This means that Alex Abrines should remain in the starting lineup for the fourth time in as many games, a stretch that has included filling in for Roberson and Paul George at the shooting guard spot and small forward respectively. Abrines figures to continue seeing minutes in the mid-20s with Roberson sidelined but is a fringe option in tournament formats given his low 15.6% usage rate on the season. That said, George is set to make his return to Indiana for the first as a member of the opposing team and will likely absorb a sizable amount ownership given the perceived "revenge" narrative, even though he has failed to exceed salary-based expectations in six of his last seven games as he continues to battle through a calf contusion, making Russell Westbrook a logical pivot option in all formats if looking to avoid taking a stroll down Narrative Street.

Andre Roberson (ankle sprain) questionable for Wednesday

Roberson was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice and has been listed as questionable on the Oklahoma City Thunder's injury report for tomorrow's game against the Indiana Pacers due to a sprained left ankle that has forced him to miss one game. If Roberson is unable to suit up, Alex Abrines should remain in the starting lineup for the fourth time in as many games, a stretch that has included filling in for Roberson and Paul George at the shooting guard spot and small forward respectively. Abrines figures to continue seeing minutes in the mid-20s with Roberson sidelined but is a fringe option in tournament formats given his low 15.6% usage rate on the season. That said, George is set to make his return to Indiana for the first as a member of the opposing team and will likely absorb a sizable amount ownership given the perceived "revenge" narrative but has failed to exceed salary-based expectations in six of his last seven games as he continues to battle through a calf contusion, making Russell Westbrook a logical pivot option in all formats if not looking to take a stroll down Narrative Street.

Paul George (calf) will start Monday; Andre Roberson (ankle) ruled out

George has been cleared to play and will start in tonight's game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable on the Oklahoma City Thunder's injury report with a right calf contusion that had forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Andre Roberson has been ruled out with a sprained right ankle following his prior questionable designation. In George's absence, Alex Abrines entered the starting lineup and was solid in 34 minutes per game. That said, with Roberson unavailable, Abrines has a chance to remain in the starting unit at shooting guard and figures to see similar playing time, though it is possible the head coach Billy Donovan opts to go "big" and start Jerami Grant on the wing. Roberson is such a low usage player that his absence doesn't benefit any one player on the Thunder roster, but Russell Westbrook interestingly has seen his production increase to 1.62 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.54 on FanDuel with Roberson off the court this season.

Andre Roberson (rest) and Doug McDermott (knee) both ruled out tonight for Thunder, Taj Gibson (rest) is available to play

Roberson and McDermott will not play in tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets, while Taj Gibson and every other Thunder player will be available to play in tonight's contest, according to Thunder head coach Billy Donovan. In Roberson's absence, Kyle Singler is expected to draw the start at small forward for the second consecutive game. The Thunder are locked into the sixth seed in the Western Conference, so it would not be surprising to see Russell Westbrook and other Oklahoma City starters be rested at some point in this game, likely in the second half. So, obviously, they carry significantly more risk than other players around the league that are on teams fighting for a playoff berth or seeding in their respective conferences.
