Andrew Putnam has decided to take a pass on the WGC Mexico event. No injury news has been released at this time, but you would have to expect that a player in Putnam's position would want to play in any big event available to him. Ryan Fox has taken his spot in the field, but will not be in DFS pricing pools.

Andrew Putnam withdrew from The Shriners Open late on Tuesday afternoon and has been replaced by Curtis Luck. At this time we have no injury news associated with Putnam, but you could assume that with a full-time preferred playing schedule locked up, the choice to rest after travel from playing in Asia over the last three weeks facotored into his decision. Given a small price decrease due to his one off week, Putnam stands out as a great value play in what is an overall weak field. Putnam will make his first career start at TPC Deere run this week, but we should not fear picking a rookie in good form as this course has a history of crowing first-time winners. Currently ranked inside the top 60 in the FedEx Cup standings, Putnam needs another good week as we draw even closer to the end of the regular season.
