Antonio Brown Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

WR Antonio Brown has officially been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As expected, Antonio Brown has officially been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ahead of their matchup against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. With Brown out of the picture, Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski will be the clear top passing options for Tom Brady this weekend. Cyril Grayson can also be considered in DFS contests as he has seemed to form a connection with Brady over the course of the past few weeks and has the ability to break some big plays.

TBB WR Antonio Brown expected to play Sunday, WR Mike Evans expected to play in a limited capacity

Antonio Brown expected to play Sunday, while Mike Evans is expected to play in a limited capacity when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the New York Jets. With Brown likely to play, he becomes one of the better plays on the slate due to expected volume in a tremendous matchup. Evans is also expected to suit up but will play only in a limited capacity as he works his way back from a hamstring injury as well as spending time on the COVID list. Evans can reach value on a limited number of snaps, but it will limit his upside and it is likely best to look elsewhere in DFS contests. With Evans limited, Brown could see even more targets than he was already expected to see, as well as Rob Gronkowski and Breshad Perriman potentially playing bigger roles in the passing game.

TBB WR Antonio Brown, WR Mike Evans, and WR Justin Watson listed questionable for Sunday

Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, and Justin Watson have all been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Depending on which receivers are active for the Buccaneers, Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller could be called upon to play larger roles in the Tampa Bay offense. Perriman could be considered as a value option if Evans or Brown are ruled out. It will be important to check inactives when they are released 90 minutes before kickoff.

TBB WR Antonio Brown (ankle) DNP Thursday

Antonio Brown (ankle) logged a DNP Thursday ahead of the Buccaneers matchup with the New York Jets on Sunday. This absence was deemed precautionary so there is no real need for concern as of yet for Brown regarding his status for this weekend. If Brown is able to return to practice tomorrow and doesn't carry a designation into Sunday's game, he can be considered one of the better receiving options on the slate as he draws an easy matchup against a lackluster New York defense.

TBB WR Antonio Brown returned to practice Wednesday; WR Mike Evans (hamstring) DNP

Antonio Brown has returned to practice Wednesday, while Mike Evans (hamstring) logged a DNP ahead of the Buccaneers matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Chris Godwin is out for the year with a torn ACL, leaving Evans and Brown as the top receivers for Tampa Bay. Right now, it seems like a longshot for Evans to suit up this weekend so Brown looks like one of the best plays on the slate. Brown should see a ton of targets with Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller also available as receivers. It will be important to monitor Evans's status as the week progresses.

TBB WR Antonio Brown suspended three games

Antonio Brown has been suspended three games for misrepresenting his vaccination status. Brown was already expected to miss the next two weeks with a foot injury but will now be out three. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans should remain the top dogs with Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller also seeing some work in a good matchup against the Atlanta Falcons secondary.

TBB WR Antonio Brown and WR Jaelon Darden DNP Wednesday

Antonio Brown and Jaelon Darden logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Buccaneers matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. It looks like it will be another couple of weeks before Brown is ready to return to join the receiving corps. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans should remain the top dogs with Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller also seeing some work. Darden is not expected to play much of a role this weekend so his absence would not be DFS relevant.

TBB WR Antonio Brown and WR Mike Evans DNP Wednesday

Antonio Brown and Mike Evans logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of their game this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. Antonio Brown looks like he could be another week or two away from returning while Evans was likely taking an extra day to recover after playing on Monday night. The receiving corps will likely continue to be led by Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Tyler Johnson until Brown is able to return. It will be important to monitor the practice status of the Buccaneers wide receivers as the week progresses.

TBB WR Antonio Brown ruled out for Monday

As expected, Antonio Brown has been ruled out for Monday's game against the New York Giants. With Brown out once again Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Tyler Johnson will continue to lead the Buccaneers receiving corps and are expected to see increased snaps and targets. All three should be considered for the showdown slate but it is also worth noting the expected return of Rob Gronkowski could cut into their target share.

TBB TE Robert Gronkowski returned to practice Thursday; WR Antonio Brown DNP

Robert Gronkowski has returned to practice Thursday while Antonio Brown logged a DNP ahead of Monday's game against the New York Giants. Gronkowski logged a full practice setting himself up to reclaim his role as the top tight end for Tampa Bay and one of Tom Brady's favorite targets. This will send both O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate back down the depth chart limiting their snaps. Antonio Brown looks to be trending towards missing another week which will mean Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Tyler Johnson will continue to lead the Buccaneers receiving corps.
