Demaryius Thomas is doubtful Sunday for the Jets, while Robby Anderson and Bilal Powell are both questionable. Anderson was sick Thursday but the illness should not be an issue by Sunday.
Bilal Powell (Ankle) Limited in Practice Wednesday
Bilal Powell was limited in practice Wednesday, a positive sign for his ability to play this week. He missed the Jets' last game, and backup RB Ty Montgomery got just 2 carries. Even if healthy, Powell's role is limited behind Le'Veon Bell.
Ryan Griffin (Ankle), Bilal Powell (Ankle/Illness) Ruled Out for Thursday
Griffin and Powell have been ruled out Thursday for the Jets. At TE, Trevon Wesco and Daniel Brown should share the workload, while Ty Montgomery will handle the backup RB duties if healthy. With Montgomery questionable, Josh Adams could get some work.
Bilal Powell (Ankle, Illness) Has the Flu, Status for Thursday Unknown
Powell is dealing with the flu, one week after fellow Jets' running back Le'Veon Bell was out with the same illness. Given that Powell also has an ankle issue, he seems unlikely to play Thursday.
Le’Veon Bell (Illness) Will Miss Second Straight Practice Friday
Bell's status for Sunday is in question after he missed his second straight practice with an undisclosed illness. Bell still has two days to get healthy, but Bilal Powell and Ty Montgomery would get boosts if Bell is out.
Bilal Powell Inactive, Demaryius Thomas Active
Powell is inactive Week 2. Le'Veon Bell is the lead back and should see a heavy load again Week 2. Demaryius Thomas is active despite not practicing this week. Jamison Crowder got 17 targets last week and might see a slight decrease if Thomas has an active role in the offense. However, the Jets are running Trevor Siemian at QB, so the offense is unlikely to be very productive.
Bilal Powell to IR
The Jets have placed running back Bilal Powell (neck) on injured reserve.This is somewhat of a surprise. In his absence we can expect an uptick in volume from Isaiah Crowell in the near future. However Elijah McGuire will be eligible to return from injury soon and should slide into a reduced Powell role soon after.
Life is better without a time share
After Isiah Crowell missed practice Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, it became increasingly unlikely that he'll play on Sunday. Even if he suits up, I seriously doubt the Jets will run him out for 20 carries. Powell is a guy that has been frustrating for DFS players who have played him this season, but if Crowell misses he simply has no competition for touches. With the Colts average at best against the run game and Powell's pass catching ability, he's somebody that could provide some serious savings on a slate where value is scarce.

Crowell returned to practice today for the first time since his massive Week 5 and appears truly questionable. If he were to miss, fellow back Bilal Powell would be in for a big workload and become one of the top RB values on the slate heading into a matchup against the Colts where the Jets are installed as 2.5 point home favorites.
