Offensive Blue Line Options

The Edmonton Oilers poor defensive play, subpar goaltending and atrocious penalty kill (dead-last overall in the National Hockey League on the penalty kill) has me targeting the three-headed monster (Shea Theodore, Colin Miller and Brad Hunt) in Vegas tonight. All three of the Golden Knights defensemen are reasonably priced industry wide, and they all receive ample time on the power play, which is key tonight, because the Oilers just cant stop the bleeding when short-handed. Shea Theodore is the top option overall, and he also skates on the Golden Knights top power play, while Colin Miller and Brad Hunt share power play quarterback duties on the second unit, and with Hunts inexpensive price tag across the board, he may be the best bang for your buck on defense this evening.

Top point-per-dollar play on defense

I am heading back to the Sin City, where the Vegas Golden Knights have three solid options available on the blue line. The New York Islanders are not only a terrible defensive team (28th overall in CA/60, 30th in HDCA/60 and 31st in SCA/60), they have also been taking too many penalties for their own good lately, and that is not a good idea when you struggle to kill off those penalties (ranked 30th overall in the National Hockey League on the penalty kill). The Golden Knights have three defensemen (Shea Theodore, Colin Miller and Brad Hunt) sharing time on the power play, and all three of them are playable tonight in any format. In cash games, Theodore is my top option, with Hunt possibly being the top point-per-dollar play on defense this evening. For GPPs, you will want to pair up Theodore with the Golden Knights top line, while adding either Miller or Hunt to the second line.
