Kemba Walker OUT for final two games of season for Charlotte

With the Hornets out of the playoff race, it's no surprise that they will sit out their star for the final two games of the season. Briante Weber and Brian Roberts will pick up Walker's minutes and provide yet more value options on today's slate as the team faces Milwaukee.

Shaun Livingston (back strain) available to play tonight

Livingston will play in tonight's game against the Sacramento Kings after previously being listed as probable on the Warriors' injury report with a strained back that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. Additionally, Golden State recently signed Briante Weber to a 10-day contract, who will be available to play this evening, just further muddying the backcourt rotation behind Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. All of the Warriors reserves are easy avoids going forward in all formats barring any injuries to the starting five.

Anderson Varejao waived; allowing the Warriors to sign Briante Weber

Anderson Varejao was waived by the Warriors and it opened up a roster spot for them to sign Briante Weber. This likely means that Shaun Livingston's back injury is much more serious than originally stated. Weber will be signed to a 10-day contract and will likely see more time than Ian Clark or Patrick McCaw. With the Warriors playing in Sacramento tomorrow, we might get an early taste of Weber. He's likely not a viable DFS option but we should have some more information tomorrow after shootaround regarding the status of Livingston.

Briante Weber replacing Goran Dragic in the starting lineup

Dion Waiters, Wayne Ellington, Derrick Williams and Hassan Whiteside will join Weber in the starting unit for tonight's road game in Charlotte. Weber is more of a distributing point guard that excels on the defensive side of the ball, so it's tough to see him as viable fantasy target tonight with all the other value options on the board, including from his own team.

Tyler Johnson (shoulder) active Wednesday, but only available as emergency option.

Tyler Johnson will be active but is not expected to play tonight in Game 5. He is not a viable option but could play Game 6 on Friday or the next round. Johnson has had strong performances this year so he could be a viable tournament dart throw in a week. Briante Weber will be inactive in place of Johnson.

Lance Stephenson starting in place of Briante Weber

Lance Stephenson will be starting at PG for the Grizzlies on Thursday. Stephenson should be considered a great play for both tournaments and cash games. Stephenson should play 30+ minutes against the Bucks. Briante Weber will come off the bench and his value takes a considerable hit off the bench.

Grizzlies to start Weber, Allen, Barnes, Green, and Hollins

Grizzlies will go with the same starting lineup as they did in their previous game. Briante Weber played 35 minutes and should be in line for 28+ minutes again tonight, making Weber is low-end GPP play. Matt Barnes is the biggest offensive threat for the Grizzlies in the starting unit. Barnes only deserves consideration for tournaments against the Timberwolves.

Lance Stephenson and Vince Carter still GTDs, both waiting to see how they react to warm-ups

Both Stephenson and Carter are still game-time decisions, and a determination will be made regarding their status' after they go through warm-ups. If one or both ends up sitting, Briante Weber and Tony Allen would take on big roles (P.J. Hairston is also out) in terms of playing time, but both are relatively unexciting DFS options. Weber does have appeal given his role as the PG and the fact that he should see upwards of 30-33 minutes, but he's been performing terribly on a per-minute basis.

Briante Weber to start for Memphis tonight

Recently signed Briante Weber will get the start for the Grizzlies tonight joining Tony Allen, Matt Barnes, JaMychal Green, and Ryan Hollins. Weber's probably not available yet on most DFS sites so he's not in play as a value option.

Grizzlies injury report for Friday's game

The Grizzlies will once again be depleted when they take on the Pelicans tonight. They waived recently injured Mario Chalmers and are in the process of (or have already) signing Briante Weber to a 10 day contract. He should be able to play tonight and would likely split PG duties with Lance Stephenson and Vince Carter (both make for intriguing GPP options if they'll be running the point). Zach Randolph is also listed as questionable - if he is unable to go again, JaMychal Green will again be in line for big minutes but his price has now risen to the point where he is no longer an automatic play. We'll update you on the status of all the Grizzlies when more information becomes available.
