Cameron Bairstow Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
E. Moore, Bairstow still out, but the rest of the Bulls look to be fine for Wednesday
The Bulls came out of Monday's game without suffering any new injuries, which seems to suggest that Pau Gasol will play tomorrow against the Knicks. Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler also appear to be fully healthy, so there is no longer much available value on the Chicago side. Taj Gibson goes back to being a low-end GPP target with Gasol active (and not on a minutes limit), as does Nikola Mirotic. Gasol and Butler are both fine GPP targets tomorrow, but the rest of the Bulls roster is relatively unexciting at this point.
Pau Gasol and E'Twuan Moore out for Saturday; Taj Gibson probable
Pau Gasol is out with a sore knee and E'Twuan Moore is out with a strained hamstring. Moore mentioned his hamstring felt fine so there is a chance that he can still play. Taj Gibson was able to put up about a fantasy point a minute on Thursday and should see 25-32 minutes on Saturday. Cameron Bairstow continues to be out with a bad back.
Cameron Bairstow (back) ruled out for Thursday
Cameron Bairstow will miss his seventh consecutive game with a bad back. Bairstow was not a DFS option and his absence opens up time for Cristiano Da Silva Felicio. Felicio is also a risky DFS play and has only exceeded 6x on DraftKings once this season. With so many Bulls injured, Bobby Portis becomes the likely candidate to break out. Still, Portis' value will depend on Taj Gibson's status.
Taj Gibson out; Cameron Bairstow will start in his place
Taj Gibson has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and Cameron Bairstow will be starting in his place. Bairstow is not really a viable option due to his limited upside. Bobby Portis will likely be heavily owned now due to Gibson being out. Portis is an elite cash game option and has tournament appeal due to his discounted salary.
Cameron Bairstow will start for Pau Gasol
Cameron Bairstow will be joining the starting lineup with Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, E'Twaun Moore, and Taj Gibson. Bairstow is a tournament option only and a late swap DK eligible play. He is at the minimum salary but with so many good centers in play today will be hard to fit into the lineup. Jimmy Butler should be an elite option tonight against the Nuggets.
Pau Gasol (hand) out on Friday
Pau Gasol has been ruled out of tonight's contest against the Nuggets. Gasol was questionable coming into the game with a hand injury but is looking to play tomorrow. Cameron Bairstow will get the start in his place but is a risky fantasy option. Bairstow should only be used sparingly in GPPs.
