Let's not overthink it this week. As Overzet says, just "play the best plays!" This would bring us to Tringale in his respective price ranges. Tringale capped off a fantastic summer finishing inside the Top 25 seven times, making 11 of 13 cuts. I never lock a player in golf, even if a 10k player was down to 8k, there is still a realistic expectation of underperformance. In this case, Tringale would be approach 50% exposure for me. He has really shown his consistency and even with mixed course history, I am leaning on his renewed 2019 golf game to carry him into contention again this week.

Tringale is currently ranked 25th in my model for the week, yet he's around the 45th most expensive on most of the DFS sites (even cheaper on Yahoo). He's quietly been very solid over the last four months, making eight of his last nine cuts with five top 25 finishes during that stretch. He shot at least two under par in every round last week and finished in a tie for 16th. He finished the week in the top 15 in strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained approach, and strokes gained around the green. A better putting week and he would have been in the mix on Sunday. He has played here each of the last five years, making four of those cuts. He doesn't have any overwhelming finishes here, but this is the best that he's played on tour in many years.

One of my favorite plays this week, Tringale has had a mixed bag of finishes here at TPC Deere Run, however his form leading into this week is perhaps the best of his career. He has made the cut in 6 of his last 7 events, finishing inside the Top 25 in four of those. Tringale is a good driver of the ball, but he actually has been hitting his irons really well, averaging about 74% GIR, which has led him to my rosters every week since the Byron Nelson Championship. His upside here looks favorable with a 9th place finish back in 2011, but has only played the event twice since then.

Another guy in the mid-tier value but he has to be in consideration again this week is Tringale who has been playing incredibly consistent and on this course that should reward distance even more than last week, he seems like a “good” play regardless of price. Averaging about 74% GIR while gaining strokes on 57% of his approaches last week, there are no signs of him slowing down.

The next few guys we don’t have the luxury of last week’s stats, but when it comes to value pieces that is generally pretty common. Tringale was a player I liked a ton at the Canadian Open 2 weeks ago and he did not disappoint to the tune of an 11th place finish. Looking through his recent numbers, they have been relatively stable but the real kicker for me was his wProx numbers at the Canadian Open. He was 2nd in the field for SG:APP hitting ⅓ of his approach shots inside 18’. Obviously we can’t expect someone to exactly match their performance from a few weeks ago, but with those numbers you can tell his game is in a good place.
