Chase McLaughlin Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

IND K Chase McLaughlin has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday.

IND K Chase McLaughlin has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday.

CLE K Chase McLaughlin to be placed on COVID list; K Chris Naggar expected to handle kicking duties Saturday

Chase McLaughlin will be placed on the COVID list, Chris Naggar is expected to handle the kicking duties Saturday against the Green Bay Packers.

CLE K Chase McLaughlin added to injury report as questionable

Chase McLaughlin practiced fully on Friday but was added to injury report late with a right hamstring injury. If he is unable to go on Sunday Chris Naggar will likely be promoted from the practice squad and handle the kicking duties.

T.Y. Hilton (Calf), Adam Vinatieri (Knee) Ruled Out for Sunday

Hilton will miss his second straight game on Sunday, giving Zach Pascal another chance at being the Colts' top WR. Pascal had 7 catches for 107 yards last week and should continue to produce with the additional targets. Vinatieri has also been ruled out, meaning newly acquired Chase McLaughlin will kick for the Colts.

Marlon Mack (Hand) Practices Fully; Adam Vinatieri (Knee) Does Not Practice Thursday

Mack practiced fully and should return for the Colts Sunday after missing two games. His return will push down the value of Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins. Vinatieri did not practice Thursday, meaning Chase McLaughlin is likely to make his debut for the Colts.

Colts Claim Chase McLaughlin Off Waivers, Release TE Matt Lengel

The Colts claimed kicker Chase McLaughlin off waivers Wednesday. He is considered insurance for Adam Vinatieri at this point, who appeared on the injury report as limited Wednesday, and is having the worst kicking season of his career.

49ers Waive Chase McLaughlin

The 49ers waived Chase McLaughlin Tuesday. Robbie Gould must be fully healthy again and ready to kick fully.

Matt Breida (Ankle), Robbie Gould (Quad) Doubtful for Sunday

Both Breida and Gould are doubtful and likely out again. The 49ers are deep at RB/FB, with RBs Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert and FB Kyle Juszczyk all available. Juszczyk had a breakout game last week, catching all 7 of his targets for 63 yards, but Tevin Coleman remains the top back in this offense.

Chase McLaughlin will kick for Robbie Gould if needed.

49ers RB Matt Breida, LT Joe Staley, K Robbie Gould are All Inactive

As expected, the frequently-injured Breida will not play today, leaving the 49ers backfield open for increased opportunities for Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert, and Jeff Wilson Jr. Coleman is a solid point-per-dollar option on FanDuel and Fantasy Draft, and is projected 54% of the carries today, while Mostert is expected to get 26% of the rushes.

We know the Cardinals, who rank 21st in rush DVOA, are an excellent matchup. What makes this backfield difficult to gauge as always are #Shanahanigans, which have frustrated fantasy owners with RBs coached by Mike and Kyle Shanahan for decades. Just because Breida is out, we cannot automatically assume Coleman or Mostert are direct beneficiaries. Given his wider range of outcomes than other backs, Coleman is probably a better tournament play than cash play, especially with some of the value we have at running back this weekend.

George Kittle (Ankle/Knee), Matt Breida (Ankle) and Robbie Gould (Quad) All Doubtful for Sunday vs Cardinals

The 49ers could be without three offensive players Sunday vs the Cardinals. If Kittle is out, Ross Dwelley will get the start at TE against a Cardinals' defense that has been destroyed by TEs this season. Breida being out would mean more touches for Coleman and Mostert, while Chase McLaughlin would handle kicking duties.
