Chris Hogan Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

NOS WR Chris Hogan will be placed on reserve/retired list

Chris Hogan will be placed on reserve/retired list and has announced his intent to retire. Hogan has seen his role steadily decrease this year and has decided to call it a career, his retirement is not DFS relevant as he was already serving in such a minor role.

Chris Hogan active; Breshad Perriman inactive Week 5

No surprises for the Jets Sunday, as Chris Hogan is active and Breshad Perriman is inactive. The biggest question for Hogan will be the performance of QB Joe Flacco, who is filling in for the injured Sam Darnold. The questionable QB play makes it hard to get excited about the Jets' passing game, although the return of RB Le'Veon Bell could force opposing defenses to respect the run more.

Jamison Crowder (hamstring) and Chris Hogan (ribs, knee) officially active Thursday night

Crowder and Hogan are both officially active for Thursday night's Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos despite previously being listed as questionable with their respective ailments. Both Crowder and Hogan were limited participants in practice on Monday and Tuesday, and barring any sort of setback or snap count limitation, Crowder instantly becomes the number one option on offense for quarterback Sam Darnold with Breshad Perriman and Le'Veon Bell still sidelined with injuries. Crowder saw a massive 39.4% market share of the targets in Week 1, and not only was he targeted near the line of scrimmage in that game, but he also accumulated 42.0% of the Jets' air yards, only adding to his ceiling if the volume of high-leverage opportunities maintain similar rates moving forward.

Jamison Crowder (hamstring) and Chris Hogan (ribs, knee) listed as questionable for Thursday

Crowder and Hogan have officially been listed as questionable on the Jets' injury report for Thursday night's Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos due to their respective ailments. Both Crowder and Hogan were able to be limited participants in practice on Monday and Tuesday, so they're firmly on track to be active for tomorrow's contest, and barring any sort of setback or snap count limitation, Crowder instantly becomes the number one option on offense for quarterback Sam Darnold with Breshad Perriman and Le'Veon Bell still sidelined with injuries.

Braxton Berrios active Week 3

Berrios had been questionable but reportedly was expected to play, and is in fact active today. The Jets have just four active WRs today, so Berrios should at least receive significant snaps, with Chris Hogan, Josh Malone and Lawrence Cager the only other options at the position.

Chris Hogan (Knee) Placed on Injured Reserve

Hogan was placed on IR with a knee injury Wednesday, meaning the earliest he can return is in 8 games. He had 5 targets through 4 weeks, so he was not a significant factor in the Panthers' offense.

Chris Hogan (Knee), Chris Manhertz (Concussion) Do Not Practice Wednesday

Hogan was placed on the IR today, while Manhertz will need to clear the concussion protocol before he can play.

Team Searching for Downfield Weapon in Playoffs

Someone in the Patriots wide receiver corps will have to step up behind Julian Edelman now that Josh Gordon is out of the picture, and the two most likely candidates are Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett. The duo combined for 11 receptions and 98 yards with a touchdown on 16 targets in New England’s Week 17 win over the Jets, although neither player saw a target or a reception the week before. Both receivers are dirt cheap, however, and make for affordable GPP targets if looking to save salary.

Pats will have White, Barner at RB; Edelman, Gordon, Hogan and Patterson and Dorsett at WR, Allen at TE, Develin at FB

Those are the available weapons for Brady for tonight. Rob Gronkowski, Sony Michel and Jacob Hollister are all inactive Sunday night. The Patriots are down to White and Barner at RB, with Barner figuring to eat into some early down work while White will assume the lion’s share of the snaps and will be one of Brady’s most heavily targeted receivers. Cordarrelle Patterson will also make an impact on the ground game as he was able to rack up 10 carries in Week 8 and gives them a little versatility out of the backfield. Gronkowski’s absence opens the door for a full-time role for Dwayne Allen, but he’s failed to contribute much statistically with Gronk out as his value comes mostly from his ability to block. Julian Edelman is an elite play in Showdown formats while Gordon, Hogan, Patterson and Dorsett are all potential dart throws. Edelman and White figure to lead the way in targets and should be building blocks in Showdown formats.

Sony Michel (ankle), Chris Hogan (thigh), Rob Gronkowski (ankle) and Josh Gordon (hamstring) all active Sunday night for the Patriots

Despite the assortment of questionable tags, Sony Michel (ankle), Chris Hogan (thigh), Rob Gronkowski (ankle) and Josh Gordon (hamstring) are all active Sunday night for the Patriots. None of these come as a surprise, as there was nothing out of Patriots camp to indicate any of these players were in serious danger of missing the contest. Look for all of the regulars on this Patriots offense to be ready to go for tonight's shootout with the Chiefs, where the Patriots are currently projected for 31.75 points.
