Injury to veteran center has opened door for young Coyote
Christian Dvorak logged 18 minutes of ice time last time out, potting a pair of goals on four shots including a power play tally. As the second line center with ex-Blackhawk Richard Panik and an underrated Clayton Keller, Dvorak will have an opportunity to produce against an up-tempo, leaky Chicago defense. Dvorak is also skating on the team's top power play unit, so it is hard to argue with his punt pricing on FanDuel ($3,100) and DraftKings ($3,900). Center is loaded tonight, but Dvorak makes for an intriguing target in tournaments in this great matchup.
The Arizona Coyotes have been playing extremely well as of late
This is your value line stack for tonight. The Arizona Coyotes have quietly been playing really well as of late. Over their last 10 games, they sit sixth in the NHL with a 64.2 CF/60 and 11th with a 29.61 SCF/60, both numbers that you would not expect from the team sitting dead last in the NHL. Using the Coyotes can save you a lot of money, Christian Dvorak is centering Max Domi and Brendan Perlini on Arizona's second line. Dvorak has five goals in his last 10 games including 29 shots on goal. Arizona is on the road but they are taking on the Buffalo Sabres, another terrible team. This game could be sloppy defensively and stacking this line saves you money allowing you to fit in some of the studs.
Some value in the desert
It's not often that we target the Arizona Coyotes in DFS, but Christian Dvorak should be on your radar tonight if you're seeking some salary relief. The 22-year-old has already scored five goals (and added an assist) in just nine games during the month of March and will take the ice tonight having recently set a new career high with 34 points. Tonight, with the defensively stout group of Brouwer, Backlund and Frolik likely keying in on slowing down Arizona's top forward line, Dvorak should find plenty of open ice to work with against the Calgary Flames. Dvorak's has clearly made a priority to get the puck on the net more often lately, as he's averaging 2.89 SOG/G since the beginning of the month. With that shot volume providing him a nice floor, he's a fine value (and likely very low-owned) option to target this evening. Pair him with his linemates (Max Domi and Brendan Perlini) and you'll have plenty of salary left-over to fill in the remainder of your lineup with whomever you choose.
A likely very low-owned value option
The Arizona Coyotes may still be winless, but it doesn't mean they don't have offensive weapons. While their top line (Keller/Stepan/Domi) draws far more attention, Christian Dvorak has quitely picked up four points over the last five games as center of their second line. He posted 33 points in 78 games during his rookie campaign and picked up a pair of assists against the Flyers in their two meetings last season. Dvorak sees a healthy dose of playing time as the center of the second power-play unit where he'll face a Philadelphia penalty kill that has been very mediocre in recent seasons.
