Cole Aldrich Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Clippers starting: Rivers, Redick, Crawford, Pierce, and Jordan Wednesday.

The Clippers will change their starting lineup with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin out. Austin Rivers will replace Chris Paul, Paul Pierce will replace Blake Griffin, and Jamal Crawford will replace Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Rivers and Crawford should be considered elite option against the Blazers in Game 5. Expect Cole Aldrich and Jeff Green to also make an impact off the bench. Jeff Green was listed as the probable starter but will come off the bench on Wednesday. The Blazers are only favored by 3 points so Rivers, Redick, Crawford, and Jordan should all play over 30 minutes.

Clippers starters: Rivers, Prigioni, Mbah a Moute, Pierce, and Aldrich

Clippers will only have Luc Mbah a Moute is their regular starter against the Suns on Wednesday. Rivers should be considered an elite punt option and could see over 30 minutes. Cole Aldrich is also an elite option and should be heavily owned in the late slate. Alex Len makes for an interesting pivot in this game.

Clippers starters: Prigioni, Crawford, Pierce, Mbah a Moute, and Aldrich

Crawford will have the green light to shoot at will on Friday against the Jazz. Since the Clippers are playing a tough defensive team al the players don't have a ton of upside. The Jazz are favored by 14 points with a game total projected at 184 points. Making all the options low-end GPP choices lacking a ton of upside.

Austin Rivers and Jeff Green questionable for Friday

Rivers did not play last night against the Clippers and is questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz. Jeff Green exited early with a knee injury and is also questionable. If Rivers misses the game, expect C.J. Wilcox to pick up some extra minutes with Chris Paul also out. Wilcox is a low-end option and is only really viable on the late slate. The Clippers don't have much depth so the starters will likely see 28-32 minutes. The Clippers probable starters are currently Pablo Prigioni, Jamal Crawford, Luc Mbah a Moute, Paul Pierce, and Cole Aldrich.

Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and Wesley Johnson all ruled out for Friday

All four Clippers will not be making the trip to Utah on Friday. Jamal Crawford and Cole Aldrich will be the biggest beneficiaries with four starters not in the lineup. Both Aldrich and Crawford should see over 30 minutes against the Jazz but are low-end options on the road. The Jazz are a stout defensive team and there are better options on a ten-game slate for Friday.

Clippers starters: Crawford, Rivers, Johnson, Mbah a Moute, and Aldrich

Jamal Crawford will be replacing Chris Paul while Austin Rivers replaces J.J. Redick in the backcourt. Cole Aldrich will be replacing DeAndre Jordan. Jamal Crawford is the best value play against the Thunder and has great tournament upside. Austin Rivers will likely still have low ownership due to most user gravitating towards Crawford and Aldrich, making him a viable option as well.

Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, and DeAndre Jordan to all sit out today's Clippers game

The news broke late last night that the Clippers would be resting Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, and DeAndre Jordan on the second half of a back-to-back when the Clippers take on the Thunder tonight. This definitely opens up value opportunities on the Clippers as the likes of Austin Rivers, Pablo Prigioni, and Cole Aldrich will all receive extended run as a result. The best play, however, is probably Jamal Crawford who will be tasked more ball handling responsibility, get more playing time, and whose usage is 25.7% (per nbawowy) when the resting three are off the court. It's a tough match up and there is blow out potential, but the value is there if you're willing to stomach the risk.

DeAndre Jordan (illness) starting tonight

Jordan will return to the starting lineup tonight after missing two games with an illness. Jordan's return will likely end Cole Aldrich's hot streak but Aldrich is still a DFS option against the Rockets front line. Jordan is an elite target tonight and should be in your lineups with Aldrich considered a good punt option. Jordan was probable going into the day so it is likely his ownership levels are not that low.

DeAndre Jordan (illness) probable for tonight

DeAndre Jordan is probable to play tonight after missing the Clippers previous two games with an illness. With Jordan out, Cole Aldrich had been providing very solid value as the starting center despite not playing more than 30 minutes in either game, but his value is basically shot with Jordan back. If Jordan ends up missing any time down the road, Aldrich will be a premier value play. Jordan himself is a nice GPP target on tonight's short slate - both Brook Lopez and Dwight Howard are likely to be more popular so Jordan has some contrarian appeal in a game that should be both high-scoring and close.

DeAndre Jordan questionable for Saturday

If DJ isn't able to play again on Saturday, Cole Aldrich will be one of the premier value plays of the day. He posted a 19-7-3 line as the starter on Wednesday and he draws a better match-up on Saturday (vs. SAC). The issue with Aldrich is he can pick up fouls very quickly, and that may be a big problem against DeMarcus Cousins. It appears at this point that Jordan is closer to probable than doubtful, so we'd tentatively expect him to play.
