Corey Grant Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Jaguars place Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Corey Grant on IR

The Jaguars have placed both Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Corey Grant on IR. Seferian-Jenkins is eligible and expected to return this season, but Grant is not. Niles Paul is in line to be the primary TE in the absence of ASJ, and TJ Yeldon is locked into a sure workload for week 6 with Grant on IR and Fournette already confirmed out.

Jaguars not sure how long RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) will be out; Taking it "day by day"

Head Coach Doug Marrone implied that the Jaguars' workhorse back would miss some time again after re-aggravating a hamstring injury in Week 4. Fellow back T.J. Yeldon should be in line for another start in Week 5 against a generous Chiefs defense, after seeing almost all the snaps when Fournette exited on Sunday. Yeldon produced 100 total yards and 2 touchdowns in that time with Corey Grant mixing in sparingly. At $6,500 on FanDuel and $5,600 on DraftKings he should be a popular value target assuming Fournette sits.

Leonard Fournette (hamstring) limited in practice again Thursday

Fournette was able to participate for the second straight day, suggesting he'll be out there on Sunday against Tennessee. His presence will eliminate T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant from the group of cheap RB options.

Leonard Fournette practices on a limited basis

DiRocco noted that this was the first practice for Fournette since he injured his right hamstring in Week 1. A return this week becomes increasingly likely with each day of participation, and Fournette's status appears to be trending toward active this weekend. His return would greatly decrease the value of T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant is cheaper RB options, though Fournette himself would be in play against Tennessee on sites that don't weigh receptions heavily.

Leonard Fournette looking doubtful for Week 2 per Rapoport

The Jaguars are reportedly not optimistic that Fournette will play Sunday, which has been the prevailing thought since Brandon Wilds was activated. It's looking very much like T.J. Yeldon is going to get the lion's share of the work with Corey Grant and Wilds acting in a complementary role. The Jags are slight dogs at home in a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game, but they have the advantage in the trenches and Yeldon's workload should result in solid value at his mid-range price tag.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette expects to be a game-time decision

Fournette said his injured right hamstring felt good on Thursday and he has resumed running. Doug Marrone indicated yesterday that Fournette is unlikely to practice this week, so it follows that his status will come down to Sunday. T.J. Yeldon would be the clear beneficiary if Fournette fails to take the field, as he saw 17 touches to a single carry for Corey Grant last week. Against a weak New England run defense, Yeldon should put up RB2 numbers and represents a great option for salary relief at the position.
