While the Senators continue to allow goals for fun, they have not been as bad on home ice (3.23 GA/G vs. 4.32 GA/G on road). Adding to Anderson's potential value is the fact Dylan Larkin left in overtime last night and his status is up in the air at the time of writing this. If he misses, it would be a big loss for Detroit as Larkin has been electric for them this season. Last time these two teams met, Anderson sparkled, stopping 34 of 35 shots faced for a 2-1 win. With his affordable tag on DraftKings ($7,800) and an even more attractive $7,500 price tag on FanDuel, Anderson makes for a worthwhile tournament target, particularly if one has interest in the Senators' offense and wants some correlation.

For as bad as the Senators have been, Craig Anderson has been somewhat serviceable on home ice as he often gets goal support. In fact, Ottawa's 3.44 goals per game on home ice ranks eighth best in the National Hockey League. Anderson sports a 11-5-2 record, 3.09 GAA and .918 SV% at the Canadian Tire Centre and a matchup with the Arizona Coyotes is not intimidating as the visitors are averaging the fourth-fewest goals per game (2.63 GF/G). Anderson should see his usual volume and could be in line for a nice performance in what amounts to a coin flip game. Take a chance with the wily veteran.

With the Leafs having the highest implied goal total on the slate, they are likely to be the chalkiest team. In turn, Craig Anderson is likely to be the lowest owned goalie as nobody will use a goalie against their stacks. His numbers have been terrible this season with a 3.23 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. He is also playing his second game in as many nights, basically everything is stacked against him tonight. This is also what makes him the best tournament play of the night because nobody is going to want to use him. If the Leafs struggle to score or Anderson plays like we know he can and shuts down Toronto, than you're going to have a low owned goaltender put up a big score. It's certainly a big risk, but as I have iterated numerous times, it's a short slate; everybody is in play.

Ottawa has been atrocious all season long as they just cannot find ways to win games, particularly due to their goaltending. After recording a 25-11-4 regular season record last season, Craig Anderson has been battered, posting a 3.11 goals against average and .895 save percentage. While Anderson and the Senators draw a tough matchup against the New York Rangers, he is worth a gamble in tournaments given the Senators' success in recent meetings. Last season against the Rangers, Anderson sparkled, going 2-0 while allowing just a single goal. While he was not as sharp in the playoffs against the Blueshirts, Anderson did win four of those six starts. Anderson should easily see 35-plus shots, and if he plays like he is capable of, a big fantasy score is not out of the question.

Narrowing down a goaltender tonight is hard to do, as none of the goalies draw ideal matchups. Enter Craig Anderson, who checks in at a bottom-feeding price of $7,400 on FanDuel. The Senators have been a wreck all season long, but they do have a favorable spot here against the still reeling Anaheim Ducks who averaged just 2.29 goals per game in November. Ottawa allowed the fewest shots per game (26.5) last month, but were done in by a horrid .880 save percentage. If things start to bounce the Senators way, Craig Anderson could be in for a successful stretch, starting tonight.

Craig Anderson is a streaky goaltender. He can look like one of the best in the league when he's on fire and look like one of the worst when he's struggling. Detroit started the season well but I have no faith in them. Anderson may not face a ton of shots tonight but he certainly has shutout upside for sure. He's expensive but he could certainly pay off.
