KCC RB Darrel Williams ACTIVE Sunday; RB Derrick Gore inactive
Darrel Williams will be active Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals leading to the healthy scratch of Derrick Gore. The Chiefs will have Williams, Jerick McKinnon, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire available to use in what could be a high-scoring game. Over the past couple of weeks it seems as though McKinnon has taken over the lead back role for Kansas City with CEH as a complimentary piece, though it remains to be seen what HC Andy Reid elects to do today. Williams could play a role today in the passing game if the Chiefs are trailing and need to put up some points in a hurry. The Kansas City backfield has been frustrating for DFS players so far this postseason and could continue to be this way today. It might be best to spread your exposure out between all available backs until a clear depth chart emerges.

Darrel Williams (toe) has bee listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Williams logged a full practice Wednesday and was able to finish out the week with two limited practices leading to his questionable designation. HC Andy Reid expressed optimism regarding Williams suiting up this weekend, though it remains to be seen what sort of role he would have in the Chiefs backfield with the emergence of Jerick McKinnon. Right now, the expectation is that McKinnon would slightly lead the backfield in a split with Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Williams, if available, would likely mix in and see some passing down work. The Chiefs backfield remains one of the bigger question marks left in the playoffs so it will be important to mix exposures to members in DFS contests.

Darrel Williams returned to practice Wednesday ahead of the Chiefs matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals set for Sunday. Though this is a good sign, Williams was able to practice last week before ultimately being ruled out so his status for this weekend is still very much in the air. The Chiefs backfield split is tough to decipher right now as Jerick McKinnon has seen the bulk of the snaps and work for two straight weeks, as Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire have been banged up. It remains to be seen if McKinnon will still be the lead back when all three backs are fully healthy. It will be important to monitor the practice status of both Williams and CEH as the week progresses (CEH also logged a full practice today) as this backfield situation still remains one of the bigger question marks left in the playoffs.
