This veteran center is thriving with his new linemates

Veteran David Desharnais was recently promoted to center the Ranger's second forward line and he's taken full advantage of the opportunity. His assist on Saturday against Nashville extended his point streak to four games and he's now picked two goals and three assists during that stretch. Desharnais saw over four minutes of power-play time in Saturday's game and looks very comfortable between Chris Krieder and J.T. Mller; solidifying him as a fine value option on tonight's short slate.

A move up to the second line creates value for this veteran center

Desharnais potted a goal and also dished out an assists in New York's overtime loss to Pittsburgh in their last outing, and after starting the season buried on the third (and fourth) forward lines, he's now worked his way up to center Chris Kreider and J.T. Miller on the Ranger's second forward line. The veteran forward already has a 60-point season on his NHL resume and his playmaking abilities should help him rack up plenty of assists with these two talented wing-men. He's definitely not the most exciting pick on the board, but Desharnais will also see plenty of playing time as the center of the second power-play unit, which locks him in as a perfectly fine value play this evening.
