Denard Robinson will start at running back for Jaguars

In his last game, which was in Week 13 against the Broncos, he rushed for 53 yards on 17 carries. He isn't a very effective back in general. Jacksonville plays Indianapolis today, who rank 30th in rush DVOA, but it'll still be hard to trust Robinson. There are better value options available at running back today.

Julius Thomas, Allen Hurns, and Denard Robinson all OUT for Jaguars this week

Jacksonville has ruled out their starting TE, #2 WR, and backup RB this week for their game against the Vikings. Chris Ivory is also listed as questionable but appears as if he will play. Marqise Lee is the only viable DFS option that benefits from this news as he'll see more targets with both Thomas and Hurns out and he's affordable across the industry.

No updates to Jaguars' injury report

Chris Ivory remains a game time decision for Week 14. Allen Hurns, Julius Thomas, and Denard Robinson are all expected to be inactive after missing practice again Thursday. Fortunately for Jacksonville, T.J. Yeldon practiced in full, so he should be able to be the workhorse back should Ivory end up sitting. It's certainly an offense to avoid this week. They face a tough Minnesota defense and have an implied team total of 17.75 points, the lowest on the board. Without Hurns available, the Vikings can double-team Allen Robinson without too much risk. Robinson will be shadowed by Xavier Rhodes either way, which is a tough matchup for anyone. Marqise Lee will be stuck with Terence Newman most of the game. Newman has only allowed 0.15 fantasy points per route defended, the best mark in the league.

Jaguars injury report

Jacksonville is pretty banged up on offense right now. Tight end Julius Thomas (back), receiver Allen Hurns (hamstring), and running back Denard Robinson (ankle) all missed practice Wednesday, while Chris Ivory (hamstring) was limited. Coach Gus Bradley expects Ivory to be a game time decision on Sunday. If he can't play, Yeldon will be their lead back. Without receiver Hurns last week, Allen Robinson led the team with ten targets. They face a tough Vikings defense this week, who could easily make it a priority to shut down Robinson without too much worry, especially if Hurns can't go. The Jags have an implied team total of 17.75 points, the lowest on the board. They aren't expected to do much on offense and should probably be faded.

Denard Robinson dealing with high ankle sprain

Robinson had 18 touches and 64 yards before exiting the Jaguars' game with the Broncos on Sunday. Jacksonville's backfield is very banged up. T.J. Yeldon (ankle) was expected to be limited in Week 13, but ended with 17 touches because Robinson got hurt. Chris Ivory (hamstring) missed the game and his status for Week 14 is up in the air. It's definitely a backfield to avoid.

Chris Ivory, Julius Thomas, and Allen Hurns all miss practice on Friday

The trio of Jaguars players have missed practice all week and appear unlikely to play Sunday when they host the Denver Broncos. Ben Koyack will likely get another start at TE in place of Thomas and is not a viable DFS option. Neither is Marqise Lee who has lately taken over the #2 WR spot for the Jaguars and whose role will be solidified if Hurns sits - he has to face a Broncos defense that is elite at stopping the pass. Ivory's absence is at least somewhat relevant from a DFS perspective as the Broncos are near the bottom of the league in Run DVOA. However, T.J. Yeldon is banged up himself and split the workload with Denard Robinson last week so it's hard to trust either given the likely time share.

Chris Ivory "unlikely" to play Sunday

This isn't too surprising as he's missed practice all week. T.J. Yeldon is on track to play and start, but he's also banged up. Should Yeldon also miss the game, Denard Robinson would be the lead back for the Jaguars against the Broncos. He rushed for 39 yards on 13 carries against the Bills. Denver ranks 24th in rush DVOA, but it'll still be hard to trust Yeldon or Robinson to put up big numbers.

Chris Ivory misses practice on Wednesday

Ivory left the game early this past Sunday with a hamstring injury and his status for this week is up in the air after missing practice for the Jaguars on Wednesday. We'll keep you updated on his status as the week progresses. Denard Robinson could be an interesting value option if Ivory can't go as their opponent, the Broncos, have been vulnerable to the run.

T.J. Yeldon doesn't practice, unlikely to play this week

Nothing surprising here as it's been assumed that Yeldon would not play this week and that Denard Robinson would continue to see the bulk of the work for the Jaguars. Robinson was somewhat disappointing last week with only 20 rushing yards but he did make up for that slightly with 5 receptions for 51 yards. He's not a must play by any means against a Texans team that is middle of the pack in terms of RB DvP (18th) but is worth considering in a lineup or two if you are building multiple GPP lineups, especially on full PPR sites.

T.J. Yeldon officially out this week

As was expected, T.J. Yeldon will miss the Week 16 game against the Saints.
