This is a bad start for two of the stars from the Titans Week 1 game, at least from a fantasy perspective. Absences for either carry ramifications for the short slates and big dollar contests Monday.

Derrick Henry will not play in Thursday's Preseason Week 1 game.

Derrick Henry will be activated from IR to the 53-man roster and is expected to start Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Henry will make his return after not playing since Week 8 of the regular season due to a foot injury. It might take a little while for Henry to get fully back into game shape so it wouldn't be surprising for him to be somewhat limited in his return. The fact that he is expected to start is good news however and gives the expectation that he should at least see the bulk of the running back snaps for the Titans. Henry might not have his normal upside if limited, but is still one of the best running backs in football and should be considered in DFS contests.

Derrick Henry has been designated to return to practice, though he is still considered a "longshot" to play Sunday against the Houston Texans. Henry has been working his way back from a foot injury and has finally been cleared to return to practice this week. He will likely need a week or two to get back up to speed and is considered a longshot to suit up this weekend. In his absence, D'Onta Foreman should continue to lead the backfield with Dontrell Hilliard also mixing in. Foreman is the preferred back to roster and draws an incredible matchup against the Texans defense.

Derrick Henry is set to undergo surgery Tuesday on his foot and there is currently no timetable for his return. With Henry out at least for the next few weeks (current estimate for recovery is 6-10 weeks) the Titans will adopt either to go with a running back by committee approach or bring in someone from outside the organization. With the trade deadline looming, a move would need to be made quickly. With Henry out it is likely that Ryan Tannehill will be forced to throw the ball more, which also would mean more targets for A.J. Brown and Julio Jones making them all better plays. It will be important to monitor this situation to see how everything plays out prior to the Titans next game on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams.
