Drew Gooden Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Kris Humphries (illness) out on Thursday
Kris Humphries has been ruled out due to an illness for tonight's game against the Bucks. Humphries was not much of a DFS option after playing 4 minutes on Tuesday. Nene and Drew Gooden may see a few extra minutes in his absence. Gooden and Nene are tournament only options tonight.
Wizards injury report for Thursday's game
Four bench players for the Wizards are all game-time decisions/questionable for tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Drew Gooden and Kris Humphries are both ill and questionable while Gary Neal and Alan Anderson (who has been out awhile but appears closer to a return) did not go through shootaround due to some nagging injuries. Of the group, Neal is the only player to keep an eye on for purposes of the two-game DFS slate as he does have some punt value if he does play.
Neal and Anderson didn't go through shootaround here in Milwaukee. Gooden and Humphries are questionable tonight because of illness.g soon.
Nene (calf) out on Friday
Nene has been ruled out on Friday due to a calf injury which likely means that Drew Gooden will be the first big man off the bench. Jared Dudley has started the last three games but has seen his production decline along with his minutes. Dudley does posses 30 FPs upside but it is reliant upon his shot, making Dudley a tournament option only. Look for DeJuan Blair to also pick up some minutes tonight against the big frontcourt of the Sixers.
Otto Porter and Drew Gooden likely to play tonight; Kris Humphries still out
Porter and Gooden took part in the team shootaround and are probable to play tonight for the Wizards in their game against the Celtics. Kris Humphries is still not available. Porter would typically be a decent mid-range option at SF as the Celtics struggle against SF's (23rd in DvP) but his minutes will likely be limited removing him from consideration. Gooden is not a viable DFS option, especially on a large slate like tonight.
Otto Porter, Drew Gooden, Kris Humphries ruled out for Wednesday
The Wizards will be short-handed as usual on Wednesday with Porter, Gooden and Humphries all out of action. Porter's role had been slightly diminished with the return of Bradley Beal, but Beal is still having his minutes monitored and hasn't returned to a full-go just yet. Kelly Oubre, Jared Dudley, Garrett Temple and Gary Neal will help fill the void left by Porter, while Marcin Gortat will continue to see as much playing time as he can handle without any capable back-ups behind him.
Otto Porter (hip) has been ruled out, along with Drew Gooden (calf) and Kris Humphries (knee)
The Wizards have ruled out Porter for another game and Kelly Oubre should start in his place. Oubre finally had a game where he exceeded value on Saturday but Bradley Beal was also out, allowing him a few extra shots. Oubre is still a decent punt option but may struggle against the defense of Al-Faruq Aminu today. Drew Gooden and Kris Humphries were both absent as well on Saturday and have no timetable to return. Nene should see a slight bump in minutes but look for Jared Dudley to play as many minutes as he can handle. Dudley played 41 minutes on Saturday and had 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists.
Kris Humphries and Drew Gooden out Saturday
Humphries and Gooden will not play on Saturday. This really doesn’t have any DFS impact other than Marcin Gortat, Nene, and Jared Dudley will see some extra minutes.
Nene to start again for Marcin Gortat
Nene will make another start tonight for the injured Marcin Gortat. Nene played 20 minutes in the last contest and should see around that many minutes tonight. Drew Gooden has the higher ceiling tonight and will likely be heavily owned due to his explosion in the last game. Both players are great plays against a weak Bucks interior tonight.
Marcin Gortat out tonight, Nene to start in his place
Gortat has been ruled out with a knee injury and his timetable to return has not been released. Gortat had to have his knee drained so he could miss multiple games. Nene will be starting in his place but is also limited due to his own triceps injury. Drew Gooden is the GPP play tonight and on such a short slate he will also likely be heavily owned.
Nene playing on Monday, Marcin Gortat still GTD, Humphries ruled out
Nene will be playing on Monday after missing a game with a triceps injury. Nene makes for a decent play but he will be on a minutes limit, capping his upside. Drew Gooden is an elite punt play tonight with Gortat still a GTD. If Gortat does not play, Gooden will likely see over 30 minutes. Kris Humphries will still be out with a knee injury.
