DuJuan Harris Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Carlos Hyde (knee) ruled out for Week 17

Hyde was diagnosed with a torn MCL after undergoing an MRI on Sunday. Shaun Draughn will likely start next week against the Seahawks with DuJuan Harris working in behind him. Draughn has been pretty ineffective on the ground this season, averaging 2.9 yards per carry, but he's capable as a receiver. He caught six passes for 48 yards against the Rams on Saturday. Depending on his price, he could potentially be a tournament option on full PPR sites, but he's in a tough spot against the Seahawks defense and San Francisco has an implied team total of just 17 points.

Carlos Hyde officially active

As expected, Carlos Hyde is officially active for the 49ers. The 49ers still expect DuJuan Harris to have a role though as they feel he's earned it.

Carlos Hyde expected to play Sunday

Hyde (shoulder) will play for the first time since Week 6. Given his type of injury, he's a bit risky to play today. He also has to deal with the tough Arizona rush defense. Adam Schefter is reporting that the 49ers will "have a role carved out" for DuJuan Harris, which means Hyde may lose some snaps Sunday. The last time San Francisco played Arizona, Hyde picked up six receptions. It seems like they'll implement a similar game plan today. If Harris comes in for passing down work, Hyde will lose that floor. He isn't a great fantasy option in a tough matchup if he's not getting his normal volume of touches.

Carlos Hyde listed as questionable for Sunday

San Franisco is going to make their decision on Hyde's status tomorrow. Yesterday, Hyde indicated things were on the right track, so he definitely has a shot at being active this weekend. If he can't go, DuJuan Harris will get the start again. Either way, the starting running back will have PPR value. In fact, it's very possible they do more damage through the air than on the ground. Arizona has a top ten defense against both the run and pass, which limits rushing upside, but forces quarterbacks to give plenty of checkdown passes to their backs. In Week 5, Hyde had a season-high six receptions for 36 yards against the Cardinals.

Carlos Hyde's status won't be determined until Saturday

The 49ers won't determine their starting RB's status until Saturday after their last practice of the week. He's missed the last two games and DuJuan Harris would be in line for another start if Hyde can't go. Neither are particularly attractive DFS options as huge dogs to an Arizona team that is 4th in overall DVOA and 10th in RB Rush DVOA.

Carlos Hyde remains in non-contact jersey at 49ers practice

Hyde practiced all last week in a non-contact jersey and ended up not playing. He's started off this week the same as last making it seem as if his playing status will once again be in doubt. DuJuan Harris stepped up in a big way for the team last week and would be the likely workhorse again if Hyde can't go. However the match up is much tougher going against a Cardinals defense that is top 10 in the league in RB Rush DVOA.

Carlos Hyde officially inactive

Hyde will definitely sit out today's game against the Saints. DuJuan Harris is expected to start, and could pick up a lot of touches if he gets the hot hand early. Fortunately, the Saints have a poor rushing defense, so he has legitimate shot of performing well right away. New Orleans has allowed a league-high 12 rushing touchdowns this season. Harris definitely has tournament appeal.

Carlos Hyde officially OUT, DuJuan Harris will start

Hyde is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, which will prevent him from suiting up today. The 49ers' staff has been really high on DuJuan Harris; they like his ability to run and catch. He'll get the start today in an excellent matchup with the Saints, who have allowed a league-high 12 rushing touchdowns. Despite Mike Davis starting against Tampa Bay last game, Harris out-touched him 13-7. San Francisco is still expected to use a committee against New Orleans, so Harris isn't safe enough for cash. However, if he gets the hot hand he could get a ton of touches against a bad opponent, which puts him in play for tournaments.

Carlos Hyde (shoulder) listed as questionable

Hyde is truly questionable for this matchup, and we probably won't know if he's playing until Sunday. If he plays, he's a risk as his injury may limit his ability to lower his shoulder to pick up extra yards, or score at the goal line. He's definitely still in play though as San Francisco plays the Saints this weekend. New Orleans has allowed the most rushing touchdowns this season (12). If he doesn't play DuJuan Harris, Mike Davis, and Shaun Draughn all figure to get touches, and their individual shares may be hard to predict. However, there has been word out of the 49ers' camp that the coaching staff really likes Harris. He would be the lead back in Hyde's absence and, given their opponent, is worth consideration in tournaments.

Carlos Hyde remains uncertain for this week

The 49ers RB continues to practice in a non-contact jersey and Head Coach Chip Kelly seems unsure of whether or not he will be able to play this week. It's shaping up to be a game-time decision for him in what would be an elite match up against a Saints team that is one of the worst in the league at defending the run. If he can't go, DuJuan Harris has moved up the depth chart and appears to be the favored back - he'd make for an excellent value option.
