In addition to not having Alvin Kamara, the Saints will be without both Mark Ingram and Alex Armah on Thursday night. Tony Jones figures to head the backfield with Dwayne Washington, Ty Montgomery and Adam Prentice all candidates to see work behind him. Montgomery has the highest ceiling of the dart throw options here, and it's likely he works into the backfield equation given how shorthanded they are. Washington is generally used as a special teamer but could see some work offensively, although it's not clear exactly how the backfield will shake out behind Jones.

It does not appear that the Saints will have Mark Ingram Thursday night against the Bills, a notable loss with Alvin Kamara already out of the lineup. Assuming Ingram can't go, Tony Jones would figure to take on the lion's share of the RB work with Alex Armah and Dwayne Washington also candidates to see increased work behind him. Jones missed a good chunk of time earlier this year, but he's healthy at a convenient time and does become a worthwhile DFS target on the Thanksgiving slate. We'll continue to update Ingram's status as the day unfolds.

Taysom Hill and Latavius Murray are both inactive, confirming earlier reports. Expect Alvin Kamara and Drew Brees to both benefit from Hill being out, while Dwayne Washington and Ty Montgomery will handle the limited work available at RB behind Kamara.

Taysom Hill and Latavius Murray are both reportedly not likely to play today for the Saints. The absence of Hill is a boost for both Drew Brees and the running backs, as Hill often vultures TDs from both. If Murray is out, the Saints have Dwayne Washington and Ty Montgomery as the RBs behind Alvin Kamara. Neither received consistent work throughout the season. Washington got slightly more work the first 16 weeks, while Montgomery had a 100-yard rushing game during Week 17 (when the Saints were without their top-3 RBs).

The Saints are already without Alvin Kamara, who tested positive for COVID-19, and now Latavius Murray, Dwayne Washington and Michael Burton have all been deemed close contacts. That means those players will be out Week 17, leaving the Saints with Ty Montgomery, Tony Jones and Taysom Hill as the available options rushing. Montgomery has been working as a WR, but has experience at RB, although he hasn't had 10 carries in a game since 2017. Tony Jones is a rookie practice squad RB, which at least means he is familiar with the RB playbook. Hill does a little bit of everything on offense for the Saints, and will certainly be a big factor around the goal line.
