Eric Saubert Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

DEN RB Melvin Gordon and TE Eric Saubert DNP Wednesday

Melvin Gordon and Eric Saubert both logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Broncos matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. If Gordon were forced to miss or be limited, Javonte Williams would become one of the top plays on the showdown slate due to expected volume and production. Mike Boone and Damarea Crockett would likely be available to back him up but would not be expected to play a major role. If Saubert were forced to miss it would likely not be considered DFS relevant even on a showdown slate as Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam are expected to see nearly all the tight end snaps for the Broncos.

Bears CB Prince Amukamara is inactive Thursday night after not practicing all week. That means the Bears likely will play Kevin Toliver, a second-year player that has played three defensive snaps this season.

With Shaheen and Trey Burton out for the rest of the 2019 season, Saubert will join Jasper Horsted and J.P. Holtz as the Bears' tight ends.

Austin Hooper (leg) not practicing Wednesday

The Falcons TE apparently suffered a right knee injury in Week 14's loss to the Packers. If Hooper is sidelined in Week 15, look for Eric Saubert to soak up most of the tight end snaps in a game where the offense is projected for nearly 27 points.
