Kareem Hunt and Anthony Schwartz ruled out for Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders, while Harrison Bryant is questionable. As expected, Kareem Hunt will not be able to suit up this weekend so it will be a heavy workload for Nick Chubb who should be considered as one of the top plays on the Saturday slate. Behind Chubb, D’Ernest Johnson will be available to mix in and should play a decent sized role in the running game. Anthony Schwartz is still dealing with issues from a concussion and he will also be out meaning the Browns will be even thinner at receiver than they already are. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins are slated to lead the receiving corps with practice squad members likely to be elevated later in the week to fill out the depth chart.

Harrison Bryant should be able to return this week and play an important role for the Browns, as Austin Hooper was just added to the COVID list. Bryant and David Njoku should split tight end work in an offense that heavily relies on tight ends. They can both be considered Saturday.

With Schwartz officially ruled out Rashard Higgins and Ja'Marcus Bradley will likely see a few more snaps as they round out the Cleveland receivers depth chart behind Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones. With both Bryant and Njoku ruled out, Austin Hooper becomes the lead tight end for an offense that loves targeting tight ends. He will be one of the best plays at the position this weekend and can be considered in most formats.

As expected, Landry returned to practice after taking an extra day off yesterday for injury maintenance. Anthony Schwartz still has been unable to log a practice while dealing with a concussion and his status for Sunday remains in question. Bryant has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game with his ankle injury. David Njoku and Austin Hooper would be the primary tight ends for the Browns with Bryant out but Njoku’s status is in question after being placed on the COVID list Tuesday. Njoku would need to test negative twice separated by 24 hours prior to the game on Sunday to be available to play. If he were unable to suit up Hooper would be expected to see a large workload with Miller Forristall available to back him up and play in two tight end sets.

Jarvis Landry has been dealing with a knee injury the last few months and usually takes a day or two off practice for maintenance purposes so his absence is not concerning at this time. Schwartz is still in the concussion protocol but was at the team facilities today so he seems to be trending in the right direction to play this Sunday. Bryant has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game with his ankle injury. David Njoku and Austin Hooper would be the primary tight ends for the Browns with Bryant out but Njoku's status is in question after being placed on the COVID list yesterday. Njoku would need to test negative twice separated by 24 hours prior to the game on Sunday to be available to play. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Harrison Bryant have been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns could really use both pass-catchers as they are struggling to find available bodies at this point. Peoples-Jones was expected to be the number two receiver behind Jarvis Landry following the release of Odell Beckham. If Peoples-Jones were to miss Rashard Higgins would likely step into this role with Anthony Schwartz also playing a much larger role. Harrison Bryant was a late addition to the injury report and was also expected to play a larger role with the release of OBJ. If he were to be ruled out both Austin Hooper and David Njoku would play a larger role in an offense that relies heavily on its tight ends.

David Njoku is active today, along with TE Stephen Carlson, giving the Browns four active TEs. Austin Hooper will be the top option of the group, Njoku and Harrison Bryant will also get some passing game work, while Carlson should be expected to mainly be a special teams player.
