James Anderson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Kings starters: Curry, McLemore, Anderson, Koufos, and Cauley-Stein
Curry should be considered an elite option coming off a 20 points and 15 assists performance. The Rockets are favored by 15.5 points making it tough to recommend any other Kings players. The Kings have nothing to play for so we should rookie Willie Cauley-Stein playing over 32 minutes for the fifth time in the last six games. WCS is an interesting GPP play because of the minutes.
Marco Belinelli (ankle) and Omri Casspi (hamstring) continue to be out
Belinelli and Casspi will both be ending their season on the injured list. Ben McLemore put up 26.3 fpts on Monday and is expected to start on Wednesday. McLemore is a boom-or-bust option that is still only $3,000 on DK. James Anderson also played 24 minutes and had 23 DraftKings fpts and should is a GPP dart throw with upside for the season finale.
Marco Belinelli (ankle) and Omri Casspi (hamstring) continue to be out
The Kings will continue to be without their top bench scorers on Monday. They will only have 10 available players making James Anderson and Caron Butler valuable off the bench. Anderson has the higher upside but also did not play well in his last game. Anderson has proven that he is not a huge scoring threat thus limiting his upside. Anderson still has some appeal due to the matchup but there are other value options available in this game. With nine games on the slate, Butler lacks the upside needed to win a GPP.
Kings tentative starters: Collison, Anderson, Gay, Cauley-Stein, and Cousins
Cousins is projected to be in the starting lineup against the Thunder. Cousins should be an elite option in his final start of the season. Collison will be replacing Rondo and also should be a cash game staple. We don't expect a change from this lineup but will update if there is.
Marco Belinelli (ankle) doubtful for Thursday; Omri Casspi (hamstring) ruled out
Belinelli has not played for the past six games and is doubtful for Thursday. The Kings have no reason to bring him back with James Anderson playing well. Omri Casspi will miss another game and is likely done for the season. Look for an update on Belinelli's status tomorrow
James Anderson expected to start at SF
Anderson is expected to start with Rudy Gay resting on Tuesday. Anderson had 30 DraftKings fantasy points on Saturday and is a viable option due to his minimum level salary against the Blazers. Gay will look to return to the lineup against the Timberwolves on Thursday.
Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufos, Omri Casspi, and Marco Belinelli all ruled out for Tuesday
Rudy Gay and Kosta Koufos will be resting against the Blazers on Tuesday. Omri Casspi (hamstring) and Marco Belinelli (foot) have been ruled out. DeMarcus Cousins is expected to return to the starting lineup and should be considered an elite option. Regardless of where Cousins starts, he should be able to dominate the Blazers frontcourt. The Blazers rank 28th in DvP vs. Cs and 19th in DvP vs. PFs. This also bumps Willie Cauley-Stein's value with Kosta Koufos out of the lineup. Ben McLemore or James Anderson are expected to replace Rudy and Omri Casspi. McLemore started on Saturday and had 22.3 DKFP in 30 minutes. James Anderson played 23 minutes off the bench and had 28.6 DKFP. We don't have an official confirmation at this time on who will replace Gay in the starting lineup. With the Kings playing on the west coast, there is a chance that we won't know the starters before lineups lock on FanDuel.
Omri Casspi (hamstring) ruled out for Tuesday
Omri Casspi will be out against the Blazers on Tuesday. With the Kings resting a bunch of players, James Anderson has seen the biggest boost in minutes. Anderson had 30 DKFP on Saturday against the Nuggets and figures to see over 20 minutes again on Tuesday. Since it is a home game for the Kings, there is a possibility that DeMarcus Cousins plays. If Cousins plays Anderson has no DFS value.
Omri Casspi (hamstring) ruled out
Casspi has been ruled out due to his hamstring injury and is likely not returning this season. James Anderson and Ben McLemore are expected to pick up the minutes. Both players are high-risk options but have tournament appeal. McLemore has the higher ceiling, evidenced by a 38.5 fpts showing this season. The boom-or-bust nature of their games makes it tough to recommend either player
Rajon Rondo (rest) ruled out for Saturday; Omri Casspi (hamstring) unlikely to play
News broke late last night that Rondo will be sitting out of Saturday's contest with the Nuggets. Darren Collison will likely start in his place but has not been officially named his replacement at this time. Omri Casspi suffered a hamstring injury in last night's loss to the Heat. Casspi only played 8 minutes before he was injured. He will have an MRI today and is likely going to miss the rest of the season. Expect James Anderson and Ben McLemore to split the backup wing minutes again with Seth Curry remaining in the starting lineup.
