James McAdoo Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Draymond Green (rest) and Andre Iguodala (rest) ruled out for Wednesday
No surprises here. With the Warriors locked into the top seed they can afford to let players get some rest heading into the playoffs. Kevon Looney, James McAdoo, and David West will all get some extra minutes with Green out, although they haven't announced who will start yet. Without Iguodala or Matt Barnes (ankle) available, Patrick McCaw will earn a bigger workload as well. None of them are particularly exciting fantasy targets on a nine-game slate with an abundance of value. Golden State will play Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson, all of whom are in play, but are likely to receive fewer minutes than normal.
James McAdoo will start for Draymond Green (rest) tonight
McAdoo will start at power forward in tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns in place of Draymond Green, who has already been ruled out for rest purposes. Many believed that David West would receive the starting nod, but it appears Warriors head coach Steve Kerr prefers to keep West in his normal role off the bench. Meanwhile, Patrick McCaw will start at small forward ahead of Matt Barnes, which should allow him to see significant minutes bump with Andre Iguodala also sitting for rest purposes. None of the Warriors starters have historically seen a substantial usage increase with Green and Iguodala off the court, but we can expect Stephen Curry to take on more of a playmaking role with both Green and Kevin Durant unavailable this evening.
James McAdoo (laceration) available to play tonight; Kevon Looney (hip) ruled out
McAdoo is officially available to play in tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs after previously being listed as probable on the Warriors' injury report with a laceration above his left eye that he sustained in Tuesday's win over the Houston Rockets. Additionally, Kevon Looney has been ruled out with a strained left hip despite never being listed with an injury designation at any point throughout the day. However, neither forward typically plays more than a few minutes per contest so their availability and/or unavailability has no effect on the Warriors rotation whatsoever.
David West (thumb) and Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) ruled out for Wednesday
David West and Zaza Pachulia will continue to be out with their respective injuries for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. JaVale McGee will likely start again for the Warriors but is not expected to play over 20 minutes. Andre Iguodala looks like a lock for about 30 minutes with West out of the lineup. Iguodala continues to be fairly priced across the industry but rarely has GPP winning upside. Kevon Looney and James McAdoo continue to see minutes with both big men out but are risky options that are not a lock for anything more than 10-15 minutes.
Andrew Bogut, Kevin Looney both go through shootaround Wednesday; Bogut upgraded to questionable
Bogut is at today's shootaround and has been upgraded to questionable for tonight's tilt with the Clippers. If he's able to go, he'd presumably push James McAdoo from the starting lineup but Bogut himself would be nothing more than a dart-throw GPP target on a full slate. Kevin Looney is still buried at the back of the Warriors bench.
Andrew Bogut doubtful for Wednesday
Andrew Bogut is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Clippers due to a toe injury. James Michael McAdoo started in his place on Monday and played about 18 minutes. McAdoo was not able to exceed value and is not recommended if he starts again. It is possible that the Warriors could go big to match DeAndre Jordan. Look for an update tomorrow regarding Bogut's status and his possible replacement.
James Michael McAdoo available to play Saturday
James Michael McAdoo will be available to play on Saturday against the Thunder. McAdoo last played in December and has not made a fantasy impact this season. McAdoo is not a DFS option and should only be considered in games that the Warriors' starters could sit out the 4th quarter.
James McAdoo ruled out for Wednesday
McAdoo has missed substantial time over the last few months and isn't DFS relevant. Proceed as normal.
Festus Ezeli (knee) and James Michael McAdoo (toe) out on Wednesday
Festus Ezeli remains sidelined with James Michael McAdoo. The Warriors have just been giving more minutes to Draymond Green in a small ball lineup to make up for Ezeli's absence. Green should be an elite option against the Wizards on Wednesday coming off a triple-double.
Draymond Green questionable, James McAdoo doubtful for Thursday
Green is questionable for tonight's game against the Lakers. He's not dealing with any one particular injury, but the Warriors have made an effort to get him some rest and it's possible they hold him out again tonight. If that's the case, Curry, Thompson and Barnes all become very strong plays. James McAdoo isn't a fantasy option so his absence doesn't have any real meaning.
