Jaron Brown Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Jaron Brown (Knee), Malik Turner (Concussion) Practice Fully Thursday

Brown and Turner both practiced fully Thursday, meaning both are likely to play Sunday.

Jaron Brown (Knee), Malik Turner (Concussion) Limited in Practice Wednesday

Brown and Turner were limited in practice Wednesday for the Seahawks. Brown has 2 catches since Week 7, so his role will be small even if healthy. Turner had a more consistent role in the offense this season but never exceeded 3 targets in a game, limiting his upside.

Seahawks WRs Jaron Brown, Malik Turner are Out Today Vs. the Eagles

With Brown and Turner out, David Moore should slot into the WR3 role and see about two-thirds of the snaps for the Seahawks. Although Moore hasn't seen more than four targets in a game this season, he is viable against the poor secondary of the Eagles, who allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wideouts during the regular season.

Malik Turner (Concussion) Ruled Out; Jaron Brown (Knee, Personal) Questionable for Sunday

Turner has been ruled out as expected, having not practiced earlier this week with a concussion. Brown's questionable status is surprising, given that the WR was reported as out for a couple weeks on Monday. He will need to be monitored going into the weekend.

Jaron Brown (Knee) Out for a Couple Weeks

Jaron Brown will be out for a couple weeks with a knee injury. The Seahawks are considering adding another WR, depending on the availability of Malik Turner, who is currently dealing with a concussion..

Jaron Brown Suffered an MCL Sprain Week 17, Status for Sunday Unknown

Seahawks' WR Jaron Brown suffered an MCL sprain Week 17, putting his status in question for Sunday. His progress over the next few days should make his availability clear. His role is limited, as he hasn't exceeded one catch in any game since Week 7.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll Says WR Jaron Brown, Who’s Been a Healthy Scratch the Last Couple Games, Will Likely be Active Monday vs. the Vikings

Brown may be active for Monday night's game against the Vikings. He is likely to only see a few targets if he plays and is nothing more than a GPP flier in Showdown contests.

Jaron Brown, C.J. Prosise and John Ursua Inactive Monday Night; Josh Gordon Active

Josh Gordon will make his debut Monday night for the Seahawks, although his exact role in the offense is still not known. The 49ers are a tough first opponent for Gordon.

WR Doug Baldwin likely to miss a few weeks

The wide receiver has a partial tear in his MCL and appears likely to be out for at least the next 2 weeks leaving QB Russell Wilson without his favorite target. The Seahawks also added WR Keenan Reynolds to the active roster today all but confirming Baldwin will miss time. Tyler Lockett and Brandon Marshall should take on bigger roles in the offense for the time being. Perhaps Jaron Brown will see a few more targets now as well. The Seahawks play at Chicago on Monday night.

Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey expected to play Week 12

Ramsey jammed his hand in practice this week and told reporters he wouldn't play. Apparently, his quote surprised the team as he's expected to suit up today barring a setback. The CB is PFF's fifth-ranked cover corner and he's held quarterbacks to the seventh-lowest passer rating (51.6). His presence will make things very tough for Arizona's outside receivers, Jaron Brown and J.J. Nelson, and quarterback Blaine Gabbert. As a unit, the Jaguars are first in: yards per attempt (5.9), passer rating (64.5), sacks (40), and fantasy points allowed to QBs (9.92/g) and WRs (21.42/g) alike. Outside CB A.J. Bouye is PFF's seventh-ranked cover corner and slot man Aaron Colvin is 31st. Bouye has held receivers to a 42% catch rate and passers to a 30.6 rating while Colvin has posted the sixth-fewest yards per cover snap (0.83, per PFF) when in the slot and he hasn't been charged with a single touchdown. Gabbert will likely continue to lean on Larry Fitzgerald, who's accounted for 31% of the team's targets over the past three weeks but Colvin presents his toughest challenge since Carson Palmer went down.
