Jason Terry Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Tony Snell (knee), Matthew Dellavedova (knee), and Jason Terry (calf) expected to be available Tuesday
Snell, Dellavedova, and Terry are all likely to make a return from their respective ailments for tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and are expected to be available to play after participating in Monday's practice. Snell is likely to replace DeAndre Liggins in the Milwaukee Bucks starting lineup at the shooting guard spot, though he should be expected to essentially split time with Malcolm Brogdon and the other reserve wing players. The Bucks also recently waived Gary Payton II in order to clear a spot on the active roster for Sean Kilpatrick, who was recently signed by the team following his release from the Brooklyn Nets and will be available to make his Bucks debut this evening, though it remains to be seen what role, if any, he's able to carve out in head coach Jason Kidd's ever-changing rotation.
Matthew Dellavedova confirmed as the starter in place of Malcolm Brogdon; Michael Beasley will be limited to 15 minutes
Dellavedova has been confirmed as the starter in place of Malcolm Brogdon. Dellavedova a the minimum priced PG over on FanDuel and only $3.2k on DraftKings. He will need to play about 30 minutes to truly exceed value but his cheap salary allows for maximum flexibility on this slate. He should be able to exceed value regardless and Rashad Vaughn will also see the court tonight. Vaughn is not a viable option but his presence will likely keep Jason Terry to about 22-24 minutes. Terry also lacks elite upside but is much more refined scorer than Vaughn. Michael Beasley will return after missing 17 games but will be limited to about 15 minutes. He's not a viable option for this slate.
Jason Terry (personal) ruled out tonight
Terry won't play in tonight's matchup with the Detroit Pistons, as he deals with a death in the family. It's unclear how much time he will miss, but since he was active and didn't play in yesterday's game, his absence won't impact Milwaukee's always inconsistent rotations.
Jason Terry to play tonight; Rashad Vaughn (ankle) and Michael Beasley (elbow) out
Michael Beasley will not play on Wednesday against Indiana. It's unclear to what the actual severity of the elbow injury is, but the Bucks have given us no indication of it being serious. Mirza Teletovic will get the start in place of Beasley, and we can expect a slight uptick in the minutes for the rest of the Milwaukee forwards, as well.
Ty Lawson officially waived by the Rockets
Ty Lawson has been waived by the Rockets after buyout talks fell through. Lawson does not have any potential suitors on the radar. Jason Terry is now the only backup PG for the Rockets.
Jason Terry will play tonight
Terry will play tonight and Friday but will sit out Saturday's game. He's not a viable DFS option tonight, especially going against the Spurs, other than reducing slightly the number of minutes Patrick Beverley and Ty Lawson will get.
Rockets will start Brewer with Harden, Terry, Ariza, and Capela on Friday
The Rockets will start Harden and Terry in the backcourt tonight after Terry missed one game. Corey Brewer, Trevor Ariza, and Clint Capela will start in the frontcourt. Brewer will be an under-owned option tonight and should see a ton of minutes if he can stay out of foul trouble. Harden is an elite choice against the Bucks due to the fact Howard is not playing.
Jason Terry and Montrezl Harrell playing on Friday
Jason Terry and Montrezl Harrel will both be playing off the bench tonight for the Rockets. With both these players available tonight Terrence Jones and Ty Lawson might have a lower ceiling. Both Harrel and Terry should still be avoided tonight on such a large slate.
Patrick Beverley (ankle) playing tonight
Patrick Beverley was questionable going into Monday's game with his ankle injury but is ready to go now. Beverley is not much of a DFS but his return does kill any value Jason Terry or Ty Lawson would have had. Beverley should only be used for tournaments if at all due to his boom-or-bust nature of play.
Patrick Beverley questionable for tonight
After missing last game with an injured ankle, Patrick Beverley is listed as questionable for the Rockets game against the Clippers tonight. If he is unable to go, Ty Lawson and Jason Terry would likely split the minutes at point guard. Neither of those two can be trusted for DFS purposes but it would make Chris Paul an even better play than he already is as the Rockets PG defense drops off significantly when Beverley is not in the game.
