Punt center could pay off in tournaments
Nothing stands out about Pageau, but his minutes are safe and he is on the team's top power play unit which should like their chances against a Rangers' penalty kill that has really suffered. Pageau is just $3,400 on FanDuel and $3,600 on DraftKings which gives him some appeal if looking to spend up on multiple wingers. Pageau plays in all situations and will be leaned on heavily as usual as he logged nearly 19 minutes per game last month. Save some money with Pageau.
Senators center seeks follow-up performance
Jean-Gabriel Pageau is just $3,000 on DraftKings and is fresh off a multi-point effort against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. With the disastrous Ducks' defense in town, Pageau could easily pay off his salary again. The Ducks are allowing the most scoring chances per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 and have allowed 24 goals over their last four games. Pageau is fine as a one off play in tournaments as he has logged 16-plus minutes in three consecutive games. He has shown some scoring touch throughout his career and the matchup does not get much better against Anaheim. Ottawa is averaging the 10th-most goals per game (3.26 GF/G) on home ice.
Low-owned center makes for interesting tournament play
A modest 29 points in 75 games for Jean-Gabriel Pageu will not stand out, but he is logging big minutes for the Senators, especially on the team's top power play unit. Less than a week ago, Pageau flashed his upside, potting two goals against the Florida Panthers on seven shots. Last time out against the Jets, Pageau was pointless but did take five shots on goal and blocked two shots, which marked the fifth consecutive game of his with at least a blocked shot. Center has some strong options tonight, particularly Brayden Schenn and Jack Eichel with Ryan O'Reilly on their heels, but if looking for a punt, go with Pageau who is just $4,200 on DraftKings.
