Jeremy McNichols Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

TEN RB Jeremy McNichols waived; RB Jordan Wilkins elevated from practice squad

Jeremy McNichols has been waived, while Jordan Wilkins has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. With the eventual return of Derrick Henry (likely in time for the Titans first playoff game) McNichols was no longer needed in the Tennessee backfield. Jordan Wilkins will step into his role this week as the third running back behind D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard. Wilkins is not expected to be DFS relevant at this time.

TEN WR A.J. Brown and RB Jeremy McNichols ruled out for Sunday

A.J. Brown and RB Jeremy McNichols have officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. With Brown out, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Dez Fitzpatrick will be in line to play a much bigger role in the Titans passing game and could be considered as value options. Jeremy McNichols is still dealing with a concussion and will once again be unable to go again this weekend, the Titans backfield will likely be split between Dontrell Hilliard (passing downs) and D’Onta Foreman (early down work).

TEN WR A.J. Brown and RB Jeremy McNichols DNP Wednesday

A.J. Brown and Jeremy McNichols logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Titans matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday. Brown's status still seems to be in question for this weekend and it will be important to monitor his practice participation going forward. If he were to be ruled out, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Dez Fitzpatrick would be in line to play a much bigger role in the Titans passing game and could be considered as value options. Jeremy McNichols is still dealing with a concussion and if he were unable to go again this weekend the Titans backfield would likely be split between Dontrell Hilliard (passing downs) and D'Onta Foreman (early down work).

TEN RB Jeremy McNichols and TE Geoff Swaim ruled out for Sunday

Jeremy McNichols and Geoff Swaim have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. McNichols was unable to clear the concussion protocol so the Titans backfield will be led by D’Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson. The backfield still seems to be settling in the wake of the Derrick Henry news but at this point it seems as though Foreman would be the back to roster as he has seen more snaps and has looked to be the best ball carrier for the Titans so far. Geoff Swaim was also unable to clear the concussion protocol so MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser will likely split tight end snaps on Sunday.

TEN RB Jeremy McNichols and TE Geoff Swaim DNP Thursday

Jeremy McNichols and Geoff Swaim both logged DNPs Thursday ahead of the Titans' matchup with the Houston Texans. McNichols is still in the concussion protocol and if he is unable to get cleared the Titans backfield would be led by D’Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson. The backfield still seems to be settling in the wake of the Derrick Henry news but at this point it seems as though Foreman would be the back to roster as he has seen more snaps and has looked to be the best ball carrier for the Titans so far. It will be important to see how McNichols progresses through the protocol and if he is cleared in time to play this weekend in a juicy matchup against the woeful Texans defense. Geoff Swaim is also dealing with a concussion and if he were to miss MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser would likely split tight end snaps on Sunday.

TEN RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) DNP Wednesday

Jeremy McNichols logged a DNP Wednesday ahead of the Titans matchup against the Houston Texans. McNichols is still in the concussion protocol and if he is unable to get cleared the Titans backfield would be led by D'Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson.

TEN WR Julio Jones and RB Jeremy McNichols listed questionable for Sunday; WR Chester Rogers listed out; WR A.J. Brown not listed on injury report

Julio Jones and Jeremy McNichols have been listed as questionable for Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs while Chester Rogers has been ruled out. If Julio Jones were to miss it is likely that Marcus Johnson and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine would see expanded roles (even more so than they are already expected to see with Rogers ruled out) and could become viable value options. If McNichols were to miss it is likely that Darrynton Evans would be activated to fill his role as Derrick Henry's backup. A.J. Brown was not listed on the injury report after battling a bout of food poisoning and should be good to go on Sunday in his normal role as the Titans top receiver.

TEN WR A.J. Brown, WR Julio Jones, WR Chester Rogers, RB Jeremy McNichols, and K Randy Bullock DNP Wednesday

A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, Chester Rogers, Jeremy McNichols, and Randy Bullock all logged DNPs Wednesday after a hard fought victory on Monday against the Buffalo Bills. The Titans receiving corps remains banged up with Brown, Jones, and Rogers unable to practice due to injuries, depending on if any are ruled out Marcus Johnson and Josh Reynolds could become better plays. If Jeremy McNichols is unable to play this weekend Darrynton Evans could be activated from IR (currently designated for return) to backup Derrick Henry. This is an important situation to monitor as some receiver value could open up on the Titans if Brown and/or Jones were to be ruled out for Sunday when they are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in what could be a high scoring affair.

TEN WR Chester Rogers, RB Jeremy McNichols, and RB Khari Blasingame listed questionable for Monday; WR Julio Jones not listed on injury report

Chester Rogers, Jeremy McNichols, and Khari Blasingame are all listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Chester Rogers looks to slot in as the WR3 with both Julio Jones and A.J.. Brown healthy, so if he were to miss Marcus Johnson or Josh Reynolds would likely step into this role. McNichols should serve as Derrick Henry's backup but if he were to miss Darrynton Evans could be activated off IR and used in this role (Evans is said to be close to returning and has been designated for return since October 6th). The big news for the Titans is that Julio Jones was able to log full practices this week and will be able to return this Monday after dealing with a hamstring injury. He should slot in opposite A.J. Brown in a passing attack that has underwhelmed so far this season. Jones and Brown should be considered on the showdown slate as the Titans will likely be playing from behind and will need to rely on the passing game to keep pace with the Bills.
