Jesse Hahn Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Jesse Hahn has been lit up this season, but Milwaukee bats are expensive

Jesse Hahn has been lit up this season (6.10 ERA, 5.09 SIERA, 11.0 K%), but has limited RHBs to a .256 wOBA and 17.2 Hard% since last year. This reduces the value of a hot hitting, but high priced Catcher like Jonathan Lucroy (169 wRC+, .288 ISO vs RHP this season). Jonathan Villar (111 wRC+ vs RHP this season) is probably the top bat, but costs over $5K on DraftKings as well. The Brewers are projected to score 4.71 runs, but with high priced RHBs and no other even average LH bats, it's going to be tough to get much daily fantasy value out of it.

Jesse Hahn has been pitching well against RHB over the last two seasons (.247 wOBA, 17.1 Hard%)

Hahn has pitched well against right-handed batters over the last two seasons but has struggled against left-handed batters to start the season. The Astros are projected to score 4.55 (7th highest) so it's a good idea to target the left-handed bats in the lineup. Colby Rasmus and Luis Valbuena are the affordable options in the lineup but Rasmus has been struggling over the last couple weeks. Due Rasmus' (.184 wOBA, 7 wRC+ L14) struggles he is only a viable play in tournaments. Valbuena (.433 wOBA, 179 wRC+) has been hot over the last two weeks and deserves consideration in cash games and tournaments. Valbuena is in the second tier of pricing for 3B and is batting 6th, which could limit his upside due to the right-handed batters in front of him.

Jesse Hahn could keep the Rangers' bats in check at home

Hahn has 76.5 GB% and 11.8 FB% at home this season with a 22.2 K% against LHB and a 1.60 FIP. The Rangers will throw four left-hand bats at the RHP but they do not have much appeal in Oakland. Prince Fielder will return after sitting out on Monday, but he has been struggling all season and now is only $2.6k on FanDuel. Mitch Moreland also did not play on Monday and will be batting 6th behind Fielder. Moreland (.339 wOBA, 109 wRC+) still deserves some consideration because he has been consistent all season and his salary has fallen $500 on DK, giving us a viable value option.
