John Klingberg Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This line will see plenty of high danger scoring chances

Alexander Radulov is fresh off a hat trick and in a great matchup again tonight. Chicago has surrendered the most HDCA/60 over the past month (15.31). The whole line skates together at even strength and on the power-play giving them elite upside.

Top line in great spot on home ice

The Dallas Stars will host the Detroit Red Wings tonight. The Star’s top line has disappointed us a few times so far this year, but I will be going back to the well again tonight. When Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, and Alexander Radulov are on the same line, we know they have massive upside with great chemistry and play making ability. The Star’s CEO also said the team needs more out of Benn and Seguin, so there’s a bit of a squeaky wheel narrative also. Detroit is giving up the fifth most HDCA/60 at 12 per game and their CA/60 is 59.29. The Star’s top line should have plenty of chances and offensive zone-time to get the team back on track tonight. Defenseman John Klingberg is the power-play quarterback you want to stack up with this trio.

An early Norris candidate has dropped off as of late, but in a great spot tonight

John Klingberg was an early Norris Trophy candidate, but his play has certainly slipped as of late. However, tonight he is in one of the best matchup a player could be in taking on the Vancouver Canucks. Over their last 10 games, the Canucks have allowed 31.1 SCA/60 which is the seventh worst in the NHL over that time period. On top of that, they are one of the worst this season allowing 3.24 goals against per game which is the fourth worst in the NHL. Even with his recent offensive struggles, Klingberg is still second in the NHL in points among defensemen with 61 points in 75 games and tonight is a great spot to add to that total.

Talented Duo Finally Paying Dividends

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn are finally starting to produce after an inconsistent start to the regular season with a combined 13 points over their last five games. Reunited after spending much of the season skating on different lines in an effort to balance their team's scoring, this duo should have no problems creating scoring chances against a weak Ottawa team that has allowed the most shot attempts and scoring chances among road teams on tonight's slate. Also featured on the top power play unit, look for this top line to be very active on the man advantage against an Ottawa penalty kill that ranks 28th in the NHL this season.

Loaded Top Line At Low Ownership

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn added another talented playmaker this offseason in Alexander Radulov. Reunited after spending much of the season skating on different lines in an effort to balance their team's scoring, this trio should have no problems creating scoring chances against a banged up Tampa Bay team that has allowed the second most shot attempts and the third most scoring chances among road teams on tonight's slate. They won't be cheap and have regularly disappointed from a fantasy perspective this season, but they could fly under the radar in tournaments with a difficult perceived matchup.

This offensive defenseman has taken a huge step forward this season

John Klingberg has been known for his offensive ability since he stepped into the NHL, but this season he has taken it to a whole other level. He has had at least 40 points in each of his first four NHL season and this year is on pace to smash his career point total. Dallas is taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins, a team that once had arguably the best goaltending tandem in the NHL that is now struggling in net. Matt Murray has been a disappointment this season with a 2.97 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. This is a great opportunity for the Stars to pile on the shots and hopefully as a result, pile on the goals. Their team has plenty of offensive talent with guys like Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov that the top power play unit with Klingberg as well should be able to convert.

Could This Talented Trio Go Overlooked Tonight?

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn added another talented playmaker this offseason in Alexander Radulov. Reunited after spending much of the season skating on different lines in an effort to balance their team's scoring, this trio should have no problems creating scoring chances against a struggling Florida Panthers team that has allowed close to 4 goals per game this month. They won't be cheap and have regularly disappointed from a fantasy perspective this season, but they should still be rostered with confidence in a game Dallas should dominate from start to finish.

Loaded Top Line With Great Matchup

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn added another talented playmaker this offseason in Alexander Radulov. Reunited after spending much of the season skating on different lines in an effort to balance their team's scoring, this trio should have no problems creating scoring chances against a weak Detroit team that lacks the depth to slow them down. They won't be cheap and will certainly garner their fair share of ownership on tonight's six game slate but they should still be rostered with confidence in a game Dallas should dominate from start to finish.

This player leads the league in points for defencemen

Although it's not the most ideal matchup with the Dallas Stars visiting the Boston Bruins, it's hard to ignore John Klingberg's offensive contributions. He leads the league in points among defencemen and isn't slowing down. He also averages 2.39 shots per game and 1.23 blocks per game so when he doesn't get on the scoresheet he will provide fantasy scoring elsewhere.

This defenseman has been dominant offensively this season

John Klingberg has 39 points in 43 games, which leads the NHL among defensemen. Klingberg has averaged 2.37 shots per game and 1.23 shots per game, which gives him a solid floor before his offense is factored in. With Dallas hosting the Colorado Avalanche tonight, they are in a great spot. Colorado allows 60.45 CA/60, which is ranked 23rd in the NHL, and having Jonathan Bernier as the last line of defense is not going to help. Bernier has a 2.88 goals against average and a .909 save percentage, so Klingberg should be able to get on the scoresheet tonight.
