Jonathan Huberdeau Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This centre has been dominant over the last two months

Over the last two months, Aleksander Barkov leads the NHL with 44 points. In the month of March, the Florida Panthers had the third-best goals per game in the month of march averaging 3.5 per game. In addition, they lead the league with a 28.9 percent success rate on the power play. A home matchup against the Washington Capitals isn't ideal, but they could be a sneaky under-the-radar offense tonight. Their top line is stacked with Barkov centering Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov — this line also plays together on the top power play unit which gives them full-game correlation and elite upside.

This winger has a premium matchup tonight.

Another player on fire since March 1st is Jonathan Huberdeau as he has picked up 19 points in 14 games including 7 goals. The Florida Panthers have an elite matchup as they take on the Ottawa Senators — albeit on the road — in what could be a fast-paced, high-scoring game. Over the last month, Ottawa has an abysmal 45.17 CF% which ranks 28th in the NHL and they have given up 64.44 CA/60 which is the third-most over that time. While Florida hasn't been much better in terms of possession, they've averaged 3.7 goals per game over their last 10 including 6 games with 4-plus goals. This line stack is an elite play with Huberdeau joined by Aleksander Barkov and Evgenii Dadonov at both even strength and on the top power play unit giving them full-game correlation and elite upside.

This center is having a career year across all offensive statistics

Obviously Nikita Kucherov has been dominant this season, but it is Aleksander Barkov that has put up the most points in the last month. His 25 points in 15 games is the most among all players in the last month, though it is not the most points per game — second to Connor McDavid. The Florida Panthers are hosting an Arizona Coyotes team that continues to find ways to win despite their possession numbers being subpar at best. The Coyotes have had a 45.49 CF% over the last month which ranks 25th and a 63.88 CA/60 which is the 3rd-worst in the NHL. Barkov centres Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov on the Panthers top line and they should be able to take advantage of the poor possession Coyotes on home ice. The trio play on the top power play unit together giving them full-game correlation and elite upside.

This center has been one of the hottest players in the NHL as of late

Aleksander Barkov is second to only Nikita Kucherov in points since February 1st. His 36 points in 24 games is an incredible pace and his 13 goals over the same time period is tied for second in the NHL. The Florida Panthers visit the Dallas Stars tonight, a team that has given up 62.78 CA/60 over the last month. Barkov and linemates Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov make for an elite line stack as they remain together on the top power play unit. Their PP has been elite this season as they have converted 26.8 percent of their opportunities — second best in the NHL.

Stay Hot on the Road

Florida is another team with a plus/plus match-up as the 44 times they have lit the lamp over the last 11 games is second in the league only to Toronto. Meanwhile, The Los Angeles Kings come in third in goals against since February 23rd as they have seem the opposing team light the lamp 38 times over the last 10 games. When speaking about the Panthers the top line that features Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov are the first ones to come to mind. Mike Hoffman is the player to target here however and I will tell you why. Just recently the Panthers have moved Hoffman up to the second line but before that he was doing just fine as a power play specialist in which he has indeed scored 15 of his 32 goals with the extra attacker. This plays right into Florida’s hands this evening as the 12 power play goals that they have scored over the last 11 games is the most in the league. If you still aren’t convinced then maybe the 20 goals that he has scored on the road this season may help sway your thinking a bit. In fact, Hoffman leads the team with 30 points away from home so far this season which makes an awful lot of sense as the opposing teams are usually trying to shut down the team’s top line.

This center is often dubbed underrated, but that label can probably be removed

The Florida Panthers are on the tail-end of a back to back, but so are their opponents in the Minnesota Wild. The Wild are expected to roll with Devan Dubnyk again which could be trouble for them as goalies playing both games on a back to back see a significant decrease in their stats. The top line for the Panthers is stacked with Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov playing together at even strength as well as on the top power play unit. This makes for an elite stack with full-game correlation.

This center might be the most underrated player in the NHL

Is Aleksander Barkov the most underrated player in the NHL? He probably used to be, but I don't think so anymore. When EVERYBODY says you're underrated, you probably aren't underrated anymore. Anyway, Barkov is centering the top line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov as the Florida Panthers visit the Pittsburgh Penguins this evening. The line is a great full stack as the trio remain in-tact on the top power play unit for the Florida Panthers. The Penguins have struggled a bit as of a late with a 60.57 CA/60 which is the 9th-most in the NHL over the last month and their CF% of 47.99 ranks 25th over the same time frame.

Barkov to stay hot on home ice

The Florida Panthers may not be the first team you look at when choosing your line-ups for this afternoon. This is the exact reason that Aleksander Barkov makes for a decent play here this evening as he has found the score sheet 15 times over the last 10 games while skating on a line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Frank Vatrano. Barkov also gets to log a lot of ice time on the team’s top power play line that has seen him grab five of those 15 points when the team has had the extra attacker. Their opponent tonight is the Los Angeles Kings who have admittedly had enough problems of their own as evidence of giving up 33 goals over their last 10 games. This should be more than enough if you want to stray from the bigger names like Sidney Crosby, John Tavares and Patrice Bergeron this evening.

Loaded up top line looks to take advantage of goaltender woes

Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Evgenni Dadonov will host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. This trio correlates fully on the team’s top power-play unit along with defenseman Keith Yandle. It’s unknown who will be in net for Columbus as Bobrovsky was pulled after allowing three goals last night. While Korpisalo didn’t allow a goal last night in relief, his .888 save percentage is definitely something to target if he does get the starting nod.

This top line also has an elite power play matchup.

Despite not leading the team in goals or points, Aleksander Barkov is certainly the best player on the team. He's become one of the best two-way forwards in the NHL and his 15 goals and 39 points in 37 games are still very good. He's playing on the top line alongside team point-leader Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov. The trio play together on the top power play unit which gives them full game correlation and elite upside. Their matchup against the Detroit Red Wings is great as they struggle on the PK, killing off just 73.8 percent of their penalties which ranks 28th.
