Jordan Howard Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
PHI RB Jordan Howard expected to play Sunday
Jordan Howard is expected to play Sunday against the Washington Football Team. Howard seems to be set to lead the Eagles backfield this Sunday with Miles Sanders ruled out Friday. Howard should see the bulk of the early down and goal line work with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwelll also available to mix in. Howard can be considered in most formats but it is worth noting that the Eagles tend to go with a hot hand approach in the backfield and Howard by no means has a solidified role. It will be important to ensure Howard’s availability today by checking inactives when they are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
PHI RB Jordan Howard listed questionable for Sunday; RB Miles Sanders ruled out
Jordan Howard has been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team while Miles Sanders has been ruled out. Sanders was not expected to play this week but Howard was expected to lead the backfield. If Howard were unable to suit up this weekend, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell would likely split the work. Scott would handle much of the early down work with Gainwell handling most of the passing downs. Both Scott and Gainwell could be considered as value options based on expected volume.
PHI RB Jordan Howard returned to practice Thursday
Jordan Howard returned to practice Thursday ahead of the Eagles matchup against the Washington Football Team. Howard seems to be set to lead the Eagles backfield this Sunday with Miles Sanders almost certainly out. It will be important to ensure Howard's availability this weekend by checking his designation on the injury report released tomorrow.
PHI RB Miles Sanders and RB Jordan Howard DNP Wednesday
Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard both logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Eagles matchup with the Washington Football Team. Sanders is not expected to play this week but Howard is expected to lead the backfield. If Howard were unable to suit up this weekend, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell would likely split the work. Scott would most likely handle much of the early down work with Gainwell handling most of the passing downs. Both Scott and Gainwell could be considered value options based on expected volume in a good matchup.
PHI QB Jalen Hurts and RB Jordan Howard returned to practice Wednesday
Jalen Hurts and Jordan Howard have both returned to practice Wednesday ahead of the Eagles matchup with the Washington Football Team Sunday. Both Hurts and Howard seem to be trending in the right direction to make their returns following the Eagles bye week. Hurts will be one of the better options at quarterback and can be considered in most formats. Howard should reclaim a role in the backfield behind Miles Sanders, likely splitting time with Boston Scott.
PHI QB Jalen Hurts and RB Boston Scott to be listed questionable for Sunday; RB Jordan Howard ruled out
Jalen Hurts and Boston Scott to be listed questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets while Jordan Howard has been ruled out. Hurts is going to be listed as questionable officially with an ankle injury but he is expected to suit up and start for the Eagles. If he were unable to play for some reason Gardner Minshew would draw the start. Minshew starting would likely lead to more pass catching opportunities for the receivers and more rushing opportunities for the backs as Jalen Hurts usually commands a heavy rush share. Howard missed last week and will miss once again this week. In his absence Boston Scott saw the bulk of the carries and work in the backfield while both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell mixed in. This could again be the case this weekend in an even better matchup against the Jets. It might be best to avoid the Eagles backfield going forward as the lead back seems to shift weekly. It will be important to check inactives when they are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff as Miles Sanders would become a better play if Scott was forced to miss.
PHI RB Jordan Howard (knee) and RB Boston Scott (illness) DNP Thursday; WR DeVonta Smith returned to practice
Jordan Howard (knee) and Boston Scott (illness) both logged DNPs Thursday while DeVonta Smith returned to practice ahead of the Eagles matchup Sunday with the New York Jets. Howard missed last week and could be trending towards missing another week. In his absence Boston Scott saw the bulk of the carries and work in the backfield while both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell mixed in. This could again be the case this weekend except in a better matchup against the Jets (not like last week was a poor one against the Giants however). It might be best to avoid the Eagles backfield going forward as the lead back seems to shift weekly. It will be important to check on Scott's status when the official injury report is released tomorrow. As expected Smith returned to practice and should be set to be the Eagles top receiving option this weekend.
PHI RB Jordan Howard (knee), RB Boston Scott (illness) and WR DeVonta Smith (illness) all DNP Wednesday
Jordan Howard (knee), Boston Scott (illness) and DeVonta Smith (illness) all logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Eagles matchup with the New York Jets. It will be important to monitor the status of both Scott and Smith throughout the coming days as usually illnesses this early in the week don't affect players when Sunday comes along but it would be encouraging to see both log a practice by Friday.
PHI RB Jordan Howard ruled out for Sunday
As expected, Jordan Howard has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Without Howard, the Eagles will rely on Miles Sanders to lead the backfield with both Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell available to back him up. Sanders should see the bulk of the snaps with Scott mixing in on early downs and Gainwell mixing in during passing downs.

Without Howard, the Eagles will rely on Miles Sanders to lead the backfield with both Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell available to back him up. Sanders should see the bulk of the snaps with Scott mixing in on early downs and Gainwell mixing in during passing downs.
