Jordan Matthews Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

SFO TE Jordan Matthews elevated from practice squad for Sunday

Jordan Matthews has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. Matthews is expected to serve as tight end depth behind Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner. Matthews is not expected to be DFS relevant at this time.

49ers Signing Jordan Matthews

The 49ers signed WR Jordan Matthews Wednesday.

Eagles Waive Jordan Matthews

The Eagles waived Jordan Matthews Monday, an indication they might be getting healthier at WR. If Matthews was going to be pushed into a backup WR role, the fact he doesn't play special teams significantly hurt his value.

Eagles Promote WR Greg Ward from the Practice Squad to the Active Roster

Ward has been called up from the practice squad for the second time in 2019 because of the injuries to the Eagles' wide receivers. Both Alshon Jeffrey and Nelson Agholor are in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Seahawks, but Agholor's status seems more in doubt since he did not practice all week This murky injury situation for the Eagles is definitely one to monitor tomorrow before kickoff.

If Jeffrey and Agholor both can't go, their combined 33% projected share will go to the likes of Mack Hollins, Jordan Matthews, Greg Ward, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. If one of Jeffrey and Agholor can't play, the other will see a significant boost in opportunity and become excellent cheap options across all sites. Regardless, expect the Eagles to continue to deploy 12 personnel to have Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz on the field simultaneously. Because the Sehawks are beatable through the air - they are 18th in pass DVOA, rank seventh in FPs allowed to TEs, and rank 12th in FPs allowed to WRs - there is potential for some of these Eagles to smash their price tags.

Alshon Jeffrey (Ankle) Ruled Out Sunday

Jeffery has been ruled out Sunday, which combined with the absence of DeSean Jackson, leaves the Eagles relying on some young WRs. Recently added WR Jordan Matthews should also see his first run with the Eagles this season.

Eagles Sign Jordan Matthews

The Eagles have signed Jordan Matthews to replace the injured DeSean Jackson. Matthews had 20 catches for 300 yards and 2 TDs in 14 games for the Eagles last season.

49ers Release Receiver Jordan Matthews

Matthews was released as a result of the trade for Emmanuel Sanders.

WR Jordan Matthews is Active for the 49ers

Matthews will see his first significant NFL action in 2019 with Deebo Samuel out. He is nothing more than a large-field GPP punt today.

Deebo Samuel (Groin) Ruled Out Sunday

Deebo Samuel has been ruled out for Sunday. Jordan Matthews could see his first action of the season for the 49'ers, although he would likely be the 5th WR with a limited role in the offense.

Tevin Coleman Active; Jeff Wilson and Jordan Matthews Both Inactive Monday Night

Tevin Coleman will make his return to action after missing the last two games. He started to practice during the bye week and appears healthy. Matthews was just signed but will be inactive. Jeff Wilson is inactive, no longer needed with the 49'ers having Coleman, Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert active.
