Jordy Nelson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Continuing His Run As A Solid Value
It's been relatively quiet since he plays for the Raiders, but Jordy Nelson is averaging 7.25 catches and 9 targets per game over the Raiders' last four contests. It's even more impressive when you consider that the Raiders have actually played competitive football during that stretch; it's not like Nelson has been doing this in garbage time every week. This is another solid matchup against a Chiefs team that does have some questions on defense, as Nelson logged 10/97 in the first meeting between these teams. The price tag is still very fair, and Nelson is a fine value in Week 17.
Old Guy Still Has It
While a few weeks ago the Raiders looked like they had all but given up on the season, the last two weeks they have put up some great performances against two of the best teams in the league (upsetting the Steelers and almost doing the same against KC). During that span, Nelson has racked up 16 receptions, 18 targets, and 145 yards. While he is far from a great WR at this point in his career, he is the top WR option in this offense and is facing a Cincy defense that ranks 27th in pass DVOA and is middle of the pack against WR1s. For only $4.2K on DK and near min priced on Yahoo, Jordy offers you a decent floor and GPP-winning upside if he can get into the end zone.
The Renaissance Man!
Jordy Nelson lives! He has surprisingly hauled in 16 of 18 targets over the last two weeks... and now the Raiders draw a mouth-watering matchup against a Bengals defense that has been porous all year long. We need to target players against them, but it's uncomfortable to target Raiders most of the time. Nelson will definitely be my first choice from this squad in Week 15, as his role seems secure, and he has the safest floor/ceiling combination of the bunch. Hopefully he can hook up with Derek Carr for a touchdown this week, and this is the best late-season matchup we could hope for.
Doug Martin, Seth Roberts, and Jordy Nelson are active today
Doug Martin, Seth Roberts, and Jordy Nelson will suit up today vs The Steelers. As a double-digit home dog in a high total game, it's hard to really like any Raider with the exception of Jared Cook in this matchup. With only an implied team total of 20.5, The Steelers defense should be in play vs what has been a very disappointing offensive unit this season.
Raiders WR Seth Roberts (concussion) added to injury report as a limited participant in practice
Raiders WR Seth Roberts (concussion) added to injury report as a limited participant in practice earlier, so he suffered the injury today. Third time entering concussion protocol in recent months - he also was in the protocol in training camp and Oct. 14 against the Seahawks. If he's limited or can't go, Jordy Nelson, Jared Cook and Marcell Ateman could see an inflated target share.
Jordy Nelson (knee) active Sunday, as expected
Per the earlier report, Jordy Nelson (knee) is active Sunday, as expected. Nelson's return to action is good news for a team that is running thin when it comes to pass-catchers, with the trading of Amari Cooper, the loss of Brandon LaFell to IR and Martavis Bryant out another week. Nelson, Seth Roberts and Jared Cook appear to be in line for the most passing-game targets this week. That said, the Raiders offense as a whole is best to be avoided this week in a difficult road matchup against a stout Ravens defense.

Jordy Nelson (knee) listed as questionable for Sunday, Martavis Bryant (knee) ruled out for the Raiders
Jordy Nelson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday, while Martavis Bryant (knee) has already been ruled out for the Raiders. The team is running extremely thin when it comes to pass-catchers, with the trading of Amari Cooper, the loss of Brandon LaFell to IR and Bryant out another week. Seth Roberts and Jared Cook appear to be in line for the most passing-game targets this week, with Nelson also seeing his fair share of looks if he can take the field. Regardless, the Raiders offense as a whole is best to be avoided this week in a difficult road matchup against a stout Ravens defense.
Update: Jordy Nelson OUT Sunday due to knee injury
Despite initially being listed as questionable on the Raiders injury report, Jordy Nelson has now officially been ruled out Sunday due to knee injury. This is not surprising, given that the wideout has been unable to practice all week due to the injury. Nelson's absence will mean more targets for the likes of Brandon Lafell, Seth Roberts and Jared Cook at tight end.
Jordy Nelson (knee) questionable for Sunday
Jordy Nelson is officially questionable for Sunday due to his knee injury. Nelson is yet to practice this week, making him appear to be more on the doubtful side of questionable heading into the Raiders week 11 matchup with the Cardinals. If Nelson were to miss Sunday, it would mean more targets for the likes of Brandon Lafell, Seth Roberts and Jared Cook at tight end.
