Kendrick Nunn available to make Wizards debut on Tuesday.

Lakers will start Nunn, Reaves, Brown, Gabriel, and Davis on Monday.

During his pregame media availability, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel originally categorized Nunn as a game-time decision, but he's now officially been downgraded to out and won't play in Tuesday's season opener against the Golden State Warriors due a sprained right ankle. With fringe rotation players like Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Talen Horton-Tucker already unavailable, Nunn was slated to be a key cog in the Lakers' second unit, and his absence should open playing time for Malik Monk and potentially rookie Austin Reaves if Vogel decides against condensing his rotation this early in the season. The removal of another body in the backcourt rotation could also gift Kent Bazemore a longer leash on the wing as a member of the starting lineup, adding to his appeal for large-field tournament contests this evening.

The Heat decided to shake up their starting lineup; Dragic will come and start as opposed to Nunn. This makes Nunn a very risky play, as his minutes are essentially slashed, while Dragic will certainly benefit, and should be projected for the low 30's, with upside for more.

The Heat will be resting almost all of their older players as they prepare to play a meaningless game for them against the Detroit Pistons. Already without Butler, the Heat will be without Nunn, Dragic, Iguodala, and Ariza, leaving them with nine available bodies. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson are two of the nine available, but their minutes will almost certainly be limited; they won't be able to do anything with a win, so the younger players for the Heat will get huge minutes. Gabe Vincent and Max Strus will be good values in the backcourt, while KZ Okpala and Precious Achiuwa will both have to play big minutes in the frontcourt. The Heat will be one of the best sources of values as they'll be forcing minutes to Precious, Okpala, and Bjelica in the frontcourt.

Jimmy Butler has been ruled out Saturday while Kendrick Nunn will be available and start for the Heat against the Milwaukee Bucks. With Butler out Nemanja Bjelica will draw the spot start seeing his first action since April 26th, Andre Iguodala will likely benefit from some increased run while KZ Okpala would likely enter the rotation and see some minutes as well. When we look at CourtIQ with Butler off the floor we see that the biggest benefactors from an FPM boost perspective are Bam Adebayo (.10), Goran Dragic (.09), Iguodala (.06), and the available Nunn (.06). All of these guys become much stronger plays now that Butler is out with most of the offense running through Nunn (if available), Robinson, and Adebayo. This game will likely remain competitive with both coaches in their pregame press conferences saying that they are going out there to win regardless of what it does to playoff seeding.

Herro was ruled out due to his foot injury and will miss his third straight game against the San Antonio Spurs. In his pre-game news conference, coach Spolestra also mentioned that Nunn would play, while Robinson will warm up with the intention to play, marking him more as probable than questionable. With no Herro, Goran Dragic sees a good bump; he usually plays off the bench with Herro, and shows increased FPM production and usage. Nunn will also get a few more minutes as well now that Herro is out and Nunn is in, but the Heat usage should still come from Bam and Butler.

After being listed questionable earlier in the day Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro have officially been ruled out Monday when the Heat take on the Chicago Bulls. With the heat down to guards Goran Dragic will likely step into the starting lineup with Gabe Vincent (available) and Max Strus playing larger roles off the bench. Dragic and the other Heat starters are the ones to target here with Nunn and Herro unavailable. With Herro and Nunn off the floor according to CourtIQ the main benefactors from a FPM boost perspective are Dragic (.14), Duncan Robinson (.02) , and Gabe Vincent (.05).

Nunn will play through an ankle injury and join the Heat as they face off against the Golden State Warriors. With Goran Dragic out, Nunn will likely come off the bench as Victor Oladipo should take his spot in the starting lineup as he looks to make his team debut. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo should still run the show for the Heat, but Nunn may play a few minutes off the bench.
