Kendrick Perkins Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Alexis Ajinca (shoulder) and Luke Babbitt (illness) out tonight
The season is winding down with the Pelicans only having seven healthy bodies for tonight's game. Douglas, Frazier, Ennis, Cunningham, Asik, Hamilton, and Perkins are available with Perkins and Asik the ones to not roster. There are just too many good center options tonight to really punt that low. James Ennis has really taken advantage of all the injuries and hung 29 points on the Bulls on Monday. He added a bunch of peripherals and ended the night with 44 DraftKings fpts in 40 minutes. Even with the explosion Ennis should only be reserved for tournaments with his floor too low for cash games.
Alexis Ajinca ruled out for Monday
Ajinca will not suit up tonight against the Bulls, leaving an already short-handed squad in a lot of trouble. His absence should lead to a slight uptick in minutes for Omer Asik and Kendrick Perkins (one of them will have to be on the floor in most situations), while Dante Cunningham, Luke Babbitt, Jordan Hamilton and James Ennis should all see somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 minutes. Cunningham and Babbitt will likely see as much court time as they can handle, making them both viable DFS punt plays.
Norris Cole (back) questionable, Alexis Ajinca ruled out for Friday
Norris Cole missed Wednesday's game with a sore back and is questionable for Friday. If Cole misses, Orlando Johnson would likely start in his place but is not a DFS option against the Grizzlies. Alexis Ajinca has already been ruled out due to his injured sternum, giving Kendrick Perkins some more playing time. With Perkins at a minimum salary for Friday, he is an extremely low-end option that does not possess much upside.
Alexis Ajinca is out tonight with a fractured sternum
Alexis Ajinca will miss tonight's game after he suffered a fractured sternum during the fourth quarter of last night's game. Ajinca came off the bench while Kendrick Perkins started Wednesday's game. Look for Perkins to start again but he is an extremely low-end option. Anthony Davis should see more time at center while Ryan Anderson fills in at power forward on Thursday.
Kendrick Perkins to start tonight
Kendrick Perkins will start tonight against the Rockets. Perkins is not a DFS option and is in for defensive purposes. Perkins does not possess much upside and is tough to recommend on an eleven game slate.
Kendrick Perkins upgraded to probable for Friday
Kendrick Perkins has been out with a torn pectoral muscle, but the Pelicans upgraded him to probable for Friday. The Pelicans host the Wizards and Perkins probably won't see a ton of minutes unless Omer Asik gets into foul trouble. Perkins is a DFS non-factor Friday with eleven games on the schedule.
Kendrick Perkins to miss 3 months
Kendrick Perkins has a right pectoral tear and is expected to miss 3 months. He was already inactive for an injury-ridden Pelicans team.
Kendrick Perkins Starting
If Kendrick Perkins is still starting that tells you that Omer Asik is still not 100 %. Don't play Perkins in any of your DFS lineups.
