Kevin Seraphin Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Lavoy Allen (sore right knee) has been ruled out for tonight
Lavoy Allen has been ruled out of tonight's contest due to a sore knee. Allen has been dealing with the knee issue for most of the season and only played 3 minutes in the Pacers' previous game. Thaddeus Young played 38 minutes with Allen limited and Kevin Seraphin has been a DNP-CD over the last two games. Rakeem Christmas played 19 minutes against the Heat on Sunday but is a low-end option even though Allen is out. Christmas has not scored over 15 fantasy points this season.
Al Jefferson (dental pain) has been ruled out for tonight
Al Jefferson has been ruled out of tonight's contest due to dental pain. Jefferson has not played over 20 minutes this calendar year and does not significantly change the rotation. With Thaddeus Young expected back tonight, Kevin Seraphin will likely be used as the backup C behind Myles Turner. Both Turner and Seraphin are extremely risky options against the Grizzlies tonight.
Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen probable for tonight
Young has been a fairly good bet to suit up most of the day, so this news isn't terribly shocking. With Young and Allen expected back, Kevin Seraphin will go back to seeing a handful of minutes (at best) off the bench, while Young should resume his 30-34 minutes of court time at the PF spot. He may be slightly limited in his first game back, but given the long layover of the ASB, it's possible he's thrust straight back into his regular role. The Pacers in general aren't an appealing target on a ten-game slate where they'll be facing off with a slow paced, defensive-minded Grizzlies team.
Thaddeus Young (sprained left wrist) hoping to play tonight; remains questionable
Thaddeus Young is hoping to play tonight but the team has not sent out an official update. Young has missed the last 8 games due to a sprained wrist. Kevin Seraphin will likely head to the bench with Young returning and is no longer a viable DFS option. Young is not suitable for cash games due to the game environment against Memphis. His salary leaves some potential upside but it's unlikely he'll exceed value greatly.
Thaddeus Young (sprained left wrist) and Lavoy Allen (sore right knee) both questionable for Friday
Thaddeus Young has missed the last eight games due to a sprained wrist and is being listed for Thursday's contest. Lavoy Allen has missed the last three due to a sore knee and is also being listed as questionable. If Young is able to play, he will likely return to the starting lineup. Kevin Seraphin has started the last three games but has not played well enough for us to roster him if Young and Allen are out. Look for another update from the Pacers tomorrow.
Thaddeus Young remains OUT for Pacers tonight; Lavoy Allen questionable
This will be Young's seventh consecutive game as the team is letting him heal up through the All Star Break while his backup, Lavoy Allen, is listed as questionable and appears to be a game-time decision for the Pacers game tonight. If Allen can't go, Kevin Seraphin will be a viable (with limited upside) value option as the likely starter.
Thaddeus Young (sprained left wrist) ruled out for Wednesday; Lavoy Allen (sore right knee) listed as questionable
Thaddeus Young will miss another game due to a sprained wrist and Lavoy Allen has been upgraded after missing last night's game due to a sore knee. Allen had started the games that Young missed but since both players missed last night's game against the Spurs, Kevin Seraphin started. Seraphin ended up playing 27 minutes but did not score over 20 fantasy points. If Allen is out again, expect Seraphin to start and once again be a viable option against the Cavs on Wednesday. Since it is a sore knee, we should expect Allen to rejoin the starting lineup. Allen is also a low-end option that would need to play 30+ minutes to truly exceed value.
Thaddeus Young (sprained left wrist) officially ruled out, as expected
The Pacers will be without Thaddeus Young for the 6th straight game tonight. They are facing the Spurs and Lavoy Allen is likely to start once again. Allen has seen his minutes consistently drop in his five straight and Kevin Seraphin is being used primarily as his backup. Allen carries much more risk than reward tonight and Seraphin only played eight minutes in their previous game. Al Jefferson has seen 17 minutes for the first time in almost a month and is probably the best option of the three. He's a low-end play that has really only had strong performances against inferior opponents.
Myles Turner questionable for Indiana tonight
Turner missed the team shootaround due to illness and is considered questionable for their game tonight against Oklahoma City. Al Jefferson would be the biggest beneficiary if he can't go and would be a viable DFS option if he'd see anywhere near 25+ minutes. Kevin Seraphin would also get a boost and would also be in consideration, especially with Thad Young already ruled out.
Kevin Seraphin (sore left knee) active for tonight
Kevin Seraphin will be available to play off the bench for the Pacers tonight. Seraphin has not played over 20 minutes in a couple weeks and will not be a DFS option on this slate. Al Jefferson is ahead of him in the depth chart as well Lavoy Allen. Both Jefferson and Allen are low-end DFS options that will likely hurt your lineup more than they could help it. Myles Turner getting into foul trouble against the Magic would be the only way for Jefferson to really exceed value. Since we can't project foul trouble, it'll be tough to lock Jefferson in on a full slate.
