Kris Humphries Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Hawks will start Jose Calderon, DeAndre Bembry, Taurean Prince, Ersan Ilyasova, and Kris Humphries tonight
With Atlanta resting Dennis Schroder, Tim Hardaway Jr., Paul Millsap, and Dwight Howard, there was room for Calderon, Bembry, Ilyasova, and Humphries to join the starting five. When the four starters are off the court, Ersan Ilyasova's numbers are the most impressive outside of Thabo Sefolosha, who is expected to play around 15 minutes, although he has a very limited sample size of 49.1 minutes. Ilyasova's usage jumps 7.8% and his DK ppm rate increases to 1.01. Over 162.7 minutes, Prince has a similar bump in usage (7.7%) and he returns 0.84 DK ppm. Another person of interest in Kris Humphries, who scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in his start against Cleveland; he's produced 0.95 DK ppm in this situation across 163.4 minutes.
Millsap, Howard, Bazemore, Schroder, Hardaway all OUT for Hawks tonight
The Hawks have nothing to play for today so will be resting their starting five tonight. Ersan Ilyasova, Mike Muscala, and Kris Humphries all figure to benefit substantially from Millsap and Howard sitting along with probable starters Taurean Prince and Jose Calderon with Schroder and Hardaway out. All five of those players are in play as one of the many value options that will be available tonight.
UPDATE: Jose Calderon will start ahead of Dennis Schroder (foot); Kris Humphries will start ahead of Dwight Howard
Calderon and Howard will start at point guard and center, respectively, in tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers despite Dennis Schroder previously being reported as good to go for tonight's contest. This certainly puts Schroder and Howard's playing status into some question, as they are highly unlikely to come off the bench if they were going to play. This obviously hurts the viability of Schroder and Howard in all daily fantasy formats and they should be avoided. With Millsap off the court since the All-Star break, Ersan Ilyasova (21.1%) has seen at least a 2.5% usage rate differential, putting him firmly into consideration for all formats. Given the uncertainty surrounding Schroder and Howard's status, Ilyasova and Tim Hardaway Jr. remain the safest Hawks players to target.
Kris Humphries will start for Dwight Howard (rest) tonight
Howard will be rested and won't play in tonight's game against the Memphis Grizzlies as the Hawks are playing their fifth game in seven nights on Saturday. Somewhat surprisingly, Kris Humphries will draw the start at center in Howard's place. Humphries and Mike Muscala have both recently fallen out of the Atlanta frontcourt rotation, so it was assumed that the starting nod may have to be given to Ersan Ilyasova, who has been playing a significant role off the bench ever since he was acquired at the trade deadline. The matchup for the Hawks is far from ideal, but Ilyasova could be a sneaky tournament option (especially now that he's coming off the bench) against a Memphis squad that has traditionally struggled with power forwards that can stretch the floor.
Mike Muscala upgraded to questionable for Hawks
Originally ruled out, the Hawks forward has been upgraded to questionable for their game tonight against the Bulls. He's not a viable DFS option regardless of whether he plays or not but his return would be a hit to Kris Humphries' playing time. We'll continue to monitor the situation and update you once we get definitive word on whether or not Muscala is playing.
Mike Muscala (ankle) ruled out for Wednesday
Mike Muscala will miss another game due to an ankle injury. Mike Scott and Kris Humphries have been picking up the slack in place of Muscala. Both Humphries and Scott are extremely volatile options with Humphries being the only one with DFS viability in tournaments. Expect Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard to see over 30 minutes with Muscala out of the lineup.
Mike Muscala (ankle) ruled out for Friday
Mike Muscala will miss his third consecutive game due to an ankle injury. Kris Humphries saw most of the backup big man minutes but the Hawks were blown out by the Pistons, making their rotation not run as their normal one. Also, Howard missed their previous game, so it's hard to judge who will really benefit with Muscala out. Paul Millsap should be a lock at the position and should be able to make value against the Bulls on Friday.
Kris Humphries starting for Dwight Howard (back) tonight; Kyle Kover to the bench
Humphries will draw the start at center for tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets in place of the injured Dwight Howard. This move sends Kyle Korver back to the bench to resume a reserve role for at least one game. Humphries is not a viable option tonight, as he is extremely unlikely to see more than 20 minutes despite the starting nod. This is knock to the projected fantasy outlook of Mike Muscala, but other than that, this Hawks rotation can be targeted as normal on the late slates across the industry.
Kris Humphries to be active for the Hawks tonight
Kris Humphries has cleared waivers and hoping to be available. By joining a new team today, Humphries is not available for DFS purposes.
Kris Humphries starting for Jon Leuer Sunday
Newly acquired Kris Humphries will get for the start for the Suns on Sunday against the Spurs. Humphries isn’t a DFS option today, it’s tough to say how many minutes he will get, even though he is starting. You can ignore Jon Leuer, with him heading to the bench. Mirza Teletovic remains a solid GPP play for the Suns. He had 25 points and 8 rebounds last game against the Rockets.
