Mark Sanchez Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Redskins sign QB Mark Sanchez
He'll backup Colt McCoy for the remainder of the season, starting this Thursday against his former team in Dallas for a big divisional showdown. Sanchez is unlikely to see snaps, barring injury, with McCoy having proved to be a serviceable backup over the past.
Dallas still expected to play all three quarterbacks Sunday
The Cowboys' stars - Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Dez Bryant - are expected to be pulled early. Behind Prescott, Dallas plans to play both Mark Sanchez and Tony Romo. Given the workload split, none of the quarterbacks will be viable fantasy plays. Zeke and Dez are extremely risky choices, as they may only have a couple of series or a quarter to produce fantasy points. Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar are both likely to get work behind Elliott. McFadden is a potential tournament option; he had 14 touches last week against the Lions. Wide receivers Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams, and Brice Butler will have Mark Sanchez and a rusty Tony Romo throwing to them, so they're also very risky options, despite a bump in opportunities. Overall, Dallas is not a great team to target this week.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott will be limited on Sunday
Mark Sanchez and Darren McFadden are expected to receive the majority of snaps at quarterback and running back, respectively. Although Dallas hasn't specifically stated how much Prescott and Elliot will play before being taken out of the game, they might only stay in for a couple of series or a quarter. It'll be best to avoid Prescott, Elliot, and Dez Bryant.
Mark Sanchez to start at QB today for the Eagles
As expected, Sam Bradford is going to sit out this week and Mark Sanchez will get the start. On the season, the Lions are one of the worst pass defenses in the league sitting at #27 in QB DvP and #19 in WR DvP. However, they have been much improved over their last two games (both wins) in which they held the Packers and Raiders to 29 points total. On just a three game slate and with bad weather forecast in Green Bay though Sanchez is very much in play on the small three game Thanksgiving slate.
Sam Bradford officially out for this week
No big surprise here as it was expected that Bradford would miss this week. Mark Sanchez will get the start and gets to face a Tampa Bay defense that is 19th in QB DvP and 30th in WR DvP. At only $6,400 on FanDuel and $5,000 on DraftKings, Sanchez is a strong value play at the QB position this week. Jordan Mathews should also benefit from the change as he had 54 targets and 6 TD's in 2014 when Sanchez was his QB.
