Brees' status not likely to be known before Sunday
It appears that we'll have to wait until Sunday morning for Sean Payton to unveil whether or not Drew Brees will be the starting quarterback on Sunday. Brees is apparently in "horrible pain" due to a plantar fascia injury he suffered on Monday night, and it's tough to gauge how effective he'd be as the starter. He'll be a GPP-only option if he suits up. Matt Flynn would presumably draw the start in his place, and he'd be an interesting punt play at minimum price. Jacksonville has allowed the 6th most FPPG to QBs this season.
