Michal Neuvirth Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Cheap goalie, cheap win?
Philadelphia Flyer netminder Michal Neuvirth (2-5-1, 2.67 GAA, .915 SV%) is nothing to write home about. Well, except for today's tilt with the pathetic Buffalo Sabres. The Buffalo Sabres are averaging a paltry 2.22 goals per game and own the second-worst goal differential (-1.15) in the National Hockey League. While the Flyer defense leaves a lot to be desired, Neuvirth will be supported by an offense that has scored six goals in each of their last two games. Cross your fingers and plug your nose. Only then will you be ready to take a chance on Michal Neuvirth at his dirt-cheap price, particularly on FanDuel where he is a bottom-dwelling $7,400.
Top Goalie Tonight?
The Philadelphia Flyers are the biggest favorite on the board tonight and that makes Michal Neuvirth the top dog in goal tonight. Neuvirth has been solid between the pipes for the Flyers this season, posting a 2.17 goals against average and a .928 save percentage, and those numbers are even better when playing on home ice (1.96 GAA, .935 SV%), albeit a small sample size. The Vancouver Canucks have certainly been a better team in 2017-18, but they are merely average overall at best, and their offense still lacks scoring punch. The Canucks rank 28th in CF/60 and 26th in SCF/60, which has resulted in them scoring just 2.55 goals per game, good for 26th overall in the National Hockey League. Look for a win and 25-plus saves from Neuvirth tonight.
