Broncos-Patriots game being moved from Monday possibly to next Sunday; Broncos Week 6 game vs Miami could be rescheduled
The Patriots vs Broncos game Monday has officially been postponed, and could be moved to Week 6. As a result, the Broncos vs Dolphins Week 6 game would have to be rescheduled. The NFL continues to reshuffle games due to positive COVID tests, but there are only so many ways to change the schedule before they run out of options. Unfortunately, this is certainly not the last game we will see rescheduled.
Patriots have 1 new positive COVID test Sunday morning, team facility shut and status of Monday night's game vs Denver in question
This is the Patriots' third shutdown of their facility in 10 days, and 4th positive test in 8 days. Their game vs Denver had already been pushed back one day to Monday, and a further delay looks possible, or even likely. At this point, the NFL could be forced to add a Week 18, given the number of teams having COVID issues.
Patriots-Chiefs now scheduled for 7:05 PM ET Monday
Both the Patriots and the Chiefs have had zero additional positive tests since their initial positives caused their game to be delayed. Now they're schedule to kickoff Monday night as the early game of a MNF double header, with the games scheduled to overlap for about an hour or so. It will remain to be seen how the DFS sites handle this news, but there could be some good two-game slates tomorrow night. Any additional positive tests before kickoff would likely result in another postponement.
