Paxton Lynch Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Steelers Place Mason Rudolph on Injured Reserve

The Steelers' have placed QB Mason Rudolph on injured reserve, ending his season. Devlin Hodges and Paxton Lynch are the Steelers' QB options moving forward.

Mason Rudolph (Concussion) Out Sunday; Devlin Hodges to Start

Rudolph has been working his way back from the concussion he suffered last week but will miss at least 1 week. Devlin Hodges will get the chance to start with Paxton Lynch serving as the backup.

Broncos plan to start Paxton Lynch in Week 17

The Broncos confirmed that Paxton Lynch will start Sunday's game against the Chiefs. The offense could once again be without Emmanuel Sanders who is considered day-to-day with a bad ankle. Demaryius Thomas will work as the team's featured receiver if Sanders is not able to play. The prospect of targeting anyone one piece of this offense has been a scary proposition over the last few weeks, and with Lynch expected to start, we can expect more of the same in terms of inconsistent play.

Paxton Lynch expected to back Brock Osweiler in Week 16

The Broncos quarterback situation has been in shamble all season, and this week the team will rely on its third-string option Brock Osweiler in a matchup vs the Redskins. Paxton Lynch isn't healthy enough to start after a limited week of practice. Osweiler is coming off one of his better games in Week 15 but at this point should be considered for only desperate roster decisions.

Paxton Lynch will miss 2-4 weeks; Trevor Siemian will start

Lynch is dealing with a high ankle sprain and he'll be sidelined for a few weeks. Siemian tossed two touchdowns in relief on Sunday and he'll look to exploit another favorable matchup this weekend against the Dolphins. Miami has given up the second-most touchdowns (22) and picked off the third-fewest passes (4) which bodes well for Siemian, who threw ten interceptions across seven starts this year.

Emmanuel Sanders active Week 12; Jeff Heuerman out

In three appearances last year, Paxton Lynch leaned on Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders a ton, sending 60% of his passes in their direction. He showed a preference for Sanders, looking his way 9.7 times per game compared to 7.0 for Thomas. Lynch will have a friendly spot for his first start; the Raiders rank dead last in pass DVOA and they've allowed the second-most fantasy points to QBs and fourth-most PPR points to WRs over the past four weeks. On the season, they've allowed the highest completion percentage (72.3) and passer rating (113.3) while giving up the third-most yards per attempt (8.0). It'll be hard to trust Lynch but the spot warrants some GPP consideration at his price - $4.4k on DraftKings, $6.2k on FanDuel. Sanders is cheaper than Thomas on both sites - $5.2k on DK and $6.3k on FD.

Paxton Lynch officially named starter for Week 12

It'll be Lynch's first action of 2017. In 2016, his rookie year, he made three underwhelming appearances (two starts) in which he completed 59% of his passes for 5.99 yards per attempt while throwing two touchdowns and an interception. He leaned on Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders a ton, sending 60% of his passes in their direction. He showed a preference for Sanders, looking his way 9.7 times per game compared to 7.0 for Thomas. Lynch will have a friendly spot for his first start; the Raiders remain dead last in pass DVOA (per FO) after getting whooped by Tom Brady (339 yards, three TDs). They've allowed the highest completion percentage (72.3) and passer rating (113.3) while giving up the third-most yards per attempt (8.0). It'll be hard to trust Lynch but the spot warrants some consideration at his price, particularly on DraftKings where he's $4.4k. Lynch is available for $6.2k on FanDuel. The Broncos (+5) are currently implied to score 19.25 points - the line hasn't moved since the quarterback change was initially reported yesterday.

Report: Paxton Lynch will start Week 12

This comes from Denver radio host Benjamin Allbright, although beat writer Nicki Jhabvala reports the Broncos QBs "have yet to be informed about a decision on the starter." It'll be Lynch's first action of 2017. It'll be hard to trust Lynch but the spot warrants some GPP consideration at his price - $4.4k on DraftKings, $6.2k on FanDuel.

Update: ESPN's Dan Graziano confirms the Broncos will start Lynch on Sunday. An official announcement is expected tomorrow.

Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch expected to each play a half on Sunday

This comes directly from coach Gary Kubiak, although he said it may depend on how the game goes. Neither player will be a viable fantasy option under these circumstances. It also puts a damper on Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas' fantasy outlooks, as they may struggle to get into rhythm. For what it's worth, they should still get the vast majority of passes no matter which quarterback is in. On the season they've accounted for 51.2% of the teams' targets and Lynch threw to them on 19 of his 22 targets the last time he played. Oakland ranks 23rd in pass DVOA, but Denver's receiving duo will face corners David Amerson (81.6 PFF grade) and Sean Smith (81), so they'll have tough individual matchups. Although they should each see a nice volume of looks, they may struggle to be efficient with their opportunities in a weird Week 17 situation.

Trevor Siemian will start for Broncos but Paxton Lynch will also play

A player source has told local media that Siemian will get the start for Denver against Oakland this week but that backup QB Paxton Lynch will also play. This makes both unusable for DFS purposes unless we get more clarity on the roles they will have.
