Quincy Enunwa Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Quincy Enunwa (Neck) Done for Season

Quincy Enunwa is done for the season with a neck injury, the second major neck injury of his career. This will immediately move newly acquired Demaryius Thomas into position to start for the Jets in Week 2, assuming he can learn the playbook fast enough.

Demaryius Thomas Traded to the NY Jets for 2021 6th Round Pick

The Patriots dealt Thomas to the Jets for a future draft pick, clearing one player out of their crowed WR corps. Thomas was inactive Week 1 for the Patriots while recovering from a hamstring injury. Thomas was no longer needed with Antonio Brown joining the Patriots this week.

Demaryius Thomas will reunite with Adam Gase in New York. Now the head coach of the Jets, Gase was the offensive coordinator of the Broncos during the best stretch of Thomas' career, including 3 straight seasons over 1400 yards receiving. 2018 was Thomas' worst season since his second year in the NFL, averaging 45.1 yards per game while splitting the season between the Broncos and the Texans. He could develop into a top option for the Jets, but expect him to be closer to a 4th option in Week 2 given the limited time to learn the playbook.

WRs Quincy Enunwa and Jermaine Kearse sidelined again Thursday with foot injuries

Both wideouts appear unlikely to play in the season finale leaving Robby Anderson to see a massive target share in a game the Jets are expected to be trailing throughout, which would force them to pass early and often.

Quincy Enunwa (ankle) won't play Sunday

Enunwa hasn't practiced all week and has officially been ruled out of Sunday's matchup against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury that's now forced him to miss two consecutive games. His absence will continue to free up targets for Robby Anderson and Chris Herndon, who actually ranks third on the Jets in target over the last six games, making him a viable punt option at tight end versus a Packers defense that ranks 22nd in DVOA against the position.

RB Isaiah Crowell (toe) and WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) ruled out for Saturday

Eli McGuire would be in line for lead back duties in Week 15 but he is also questionable with an ankle injury. If McGuire joins Crowell on the sidelines, expect Trenton Cannon to soak up most or possibly all of the backfield snaps at essentially the minimum price across sites. Robby Anderson should easily lead the team in targets with Enunwa out and his matchup against a Texans secondary isn't imposing. However, expectations should still be tempered as the Jets are projected for less than 18 points on Saturday.

Quincy Enunwa (ankle) not at practice.

WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) not at practice today. RBs Eli McGuire (ankle) and Trenton Cannon (toe) are suited up. The Jets are somewhat of a wasteland in fantasy right now, but perhaps we can extract some value at RB on this team if the correct pieces fall into place.

WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) not practicing Wednesday

Enunwa appears questionable for Saturday's game against the Texans after tweaking his ankle in Week 14, a game where QB Sam Darnold rarely looked his way. With the Jets projected for a meager 17 points this week, Enunwa looks like a fairly safe avoid at likely less than 100% on a short week.

WR Quincy Enunwa will play Sunday; Robby Anderson listed as doubtful

Enunwa will play through his ankle injury in Week 10 while Anderson is expected to be sidelined by his. Enunwa and fellow wideout Jermaine Kearse may have some added upside this week due to Anderson's absence together with Josh McCown starting at QB in place of rookie Sam Darnold. Additionally, the Bills struggling offense should afford ample opportunities for the Jets passing offense despite the low game total.

WRs Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson don't practice again on Thursday

The Jets wideouts are nursing ankle injuries after playing through them in Week 9. Both now appear questionable for Week 10 against Buffalo and Friday's practice report will be telling. If either receiver can suit up, they may have some added upside this week with Josh McCown starting at QB in place of rookie Sam Darnold. Additionally, the Bills struggling offense should afford ample opportunities for the Jets passing offense despite the low game total.
