Rashad Vaughn Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Michael Beasley, Rashad Vaughn, and John Henson will join Bucks' starting five tonight

Beasley, Vaughn, and Henson will be inserted into the Bucks starting lineup for tonight' game against the Boston Celtics in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Tony Snell at their respective positions. The Bucks are locked into either the fifth or sixth seed regardless of the outcome of tonight's contest, which is the reason for resting key rotation pieces this evening. With the aforementioned players unavailable, there is clearly a ton of usage available for the remaining starters to absorb. The primary beneficiaries look to be Beasley, Vaughn, and Greg Monroe off the bench, as they will be relied upon for significantly more offensive production with Malcolm Brogdon running the point.

Matthew Dellavedova confirmed as the starter in place of Malcolm Brogdon; Michael Beasley will be limited to 15 minutes

Dellavedova has been confirmed as the starter in place of Malcolm Brogdon. Dellavedova a the minimum priced PG over on FanDuel and only $3.2k on DraftKings. He will need to play about 30 minutes to truly exceed value but his cheap salary allows for maximum flexibility on this slate. He should be able to exceed value regardless and Rashad Vaughn will also see the court tonight. Vaughn is not a viable option but his presence will likely keep Jason Terry to about 22-24 minutes. Terry also lacks elite upside but is much more refined scorer than Vaughn. Michael Beasley will return after missing 17 games but will be limited to about 15 minutes. He's not a viable option for this slate.

Khris Middleton starting ahead of Rashad Vaughn tonight

Khris Middleton will start ahead of Rashad Vaughn tonight. Middleton is coming off a game where he played a little over 30 minutes and should be considered an elite option in all formats. Middleton's salary has jumped considerably since his return from a hamstring injury, but he was over $7.5k towards the end of last season. With Jabari Parker and Michael Beasley out of the lineup, Middleton (26.4%) is second on the team in usage rate. Rashad Vaughn will not be a viable option off the bench and should be avoided on a full slate.

Rashad Vaughn starting on Wednesday, Khris Middleton to come off the bench

Vaughn will draw the start in place of Michael Beasley, with Khris Middleton coming off the bench. While we're not looking in Vaughn's direction for DFS purposes - he's still not likely to play big minutes and isn't a strong per minute contributor as it is - Middleton isn't off the DFS radar as a bench option. It's likely that he ends up in the 28-30 minute range, and with the upside he can flash in a strong match-up, he's still a potential tournament play priced in the mid $5K range on both major sites. Vaughn's presence in the starting lineup does bode well for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Malcolm Brogdon, as Middleton would be a bigger threat to their usage rates.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness), Rashad Vaughn (ankle), and Michael Beasley (shin) all listed as probable for Tuesday

Antetokounmpo was ruled out of Sunday's contest due to an illness but is expected to play on Tuesday against the Spurs. Rashad Vaughn has missed the past nine games due to an ankle injury but should be available to play on Tuesday. He's not a strong fantasy option and will likely not even see 10 minutes on the court. Michael Beasley is a GPP option even if he does play because he's so scoring dependent.

Michael Beasley (foot) expected to play off the bench; Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn ruled out

Beasley will reportedly be available to play in tonight's game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as probable on the Bucks injury report with a sprained left foot that has caused him to be sidelined for the previous five games. Beasley will almost assuredly see the court in some capacity this evening given the unavailability of Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn due to injuries. There will extra minutes and usage that needs to be disbursed among the remaining members of the second unit, but it's tough to confidently project which reserve player will benefit the most. Malcolm Brogdon and Greg Monroe had been carrying the offensive load even prior to the the Teletovic and Vaughn injuries, so they should be the primary tournament punt targets for Milwaukee.

Khris Middleton (thigh) and Jerryd Bayless (knee) ruled out on Tuesday

Khris Middleton has been ruled out of the consecutive game due to a thigh strain. He expects to play again this season but no timetable has been given for his return. With the Bucks not in the playoffs, there is not much reason to bring Middleton back. Jerryd Bayless will miss his third consecutive game and Rashad Vaughn will start in his place. Vaughn returned 5x in his last start but does have much upside for an eleven-game slate.

Rashad Vaughn starting against the Bulls on Sunday

Vaughn will be making the second start of his career on Sunday. Vaughn started on Friday but only had 11.3 fantasy points against the Magic. Vaughn is a boom-or-bust option that does not have much value with the starting unit. Jerryd Bayless is out with a knee injury forcing Vaughn into the starting position.

Jerryd Bayless (knee) ruled out again on Sunday

Bayless will miss his second consecutive game due to a hyperextended knee. Rashad Vaughn started in his place and 23 minutes, scoring only 11.3 fpts. Vaughn is better utilized coming off the bench but won't see extended minutes with Greivis Vasquez also healthy. Vasquez played 12 minutes on Friday but did not contribute much fantasy value in the win. Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to see all the usage and is coming off a triple-double. Antetokounmpo remains a strong tournament option with his huge upside but is a poor cash game play due to the low floor relative to his salary.

Jerryd Bayless (knee) ruled out for Friday; Rashad Vaughn to start in his place

Jerryd Bayless will miss Friday's game against the Magic due to a hyperextended knee. Rashad Vaughn is set to start in his place, although he'll fall victim to a very low usage rate while he's on the floor with the starting unit. Vaughn isn't a recommended DFS option, but if he's able to clear 25-28 minutes it's conceivable that he could hit value in cash games, but the tournament upside just isn't there. Giannis Antetokounmpo will continue to run the show with Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton playing second fiddle.
