Richard Panik Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This team has quietly put up high-end possession numbers.

The Arizona Coyotes have quietly put up high-end possession numbers with a 51.01 CF% which is ninth-best in the NHL. They are home to the Philadelphia Flyers tonight, a team with a dead-even 50.0 CF%, but struggling goaltending. The Flyers are allowing 3.86 goals against per game which is the third-worst in the NHL. While Arizona isn't scoring much — just 2.83 goals per game which ranks 25th — they've scored 24 goals in the 5 games since Alex Galchenyuk has returned to the lineup. This recent scoring boom makes Galchenyuk and his linemates Clayton Keller and Richard Panik interesting plays tonight.

This off-season acquisition has a point-per-game since returning from injury.

In his four games since returning from injury, Alex Galchenyuk has put up one goal and four points while firing off nine shots. He's centering the top line with Clayton Keller and Richard Panik on his wings. The Arizona Coyotes have been one of the better possession teams in the NHL this season. They have an impressive 53.08 CF% which is the eighth-best in the league. Galchenyuk and Keller remain together on the top power play unit so if you feel like leaving Panik off your line stack, the mini-stack of Galch/Keller has full-game correlation.

Arizona has been a top 5 possession team this season.

This will likely come as a surprise to you, but the Arizona Coyotes are fifth in the NHL with a 53.14 CF%. Tonight they'll take on an Ottawa Senators team that has the second-worst CF% at 41.76. The Coyotes have struggled to score this season averaging just 2.50 goals per game, but on the other side once again the Senators have struggled allowing 3.90 goals against per game. With the Coyotes on home ice, I like their chances to come out on top here and the top line of Clayton Keller, Alex Galchenyuk and Richard Panik is in a great spot. Panik doesn't get any power play time, but Keller and Galchenyuk are on the top unit together so a two-man mini-stack is in play.

Target this team against the Ottawa Senators

After logging 15:57, 21:47, 19:28 and 20:58 in his first four games with Arizona, Richard Panik has seen his ice time plummet. In fact, last time out he logged just 12:32 but he was +3 and did find a goal as the Coyotes clobbered the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-1. Panik skated nearly all of that game with Clayton Keller and Alex Galchenyuk. Keller himself has five goals in his last five games as Arizona has won four of their last five contests. Tonight they draw one of the best matchups in the form of the Ottawa Senators whose 30.45 scoring chances allowed per 60 minutes (SCA/60) at 5v5 is the worst mark in the Eastern Conference. Panik is viable in all formats given his bottom of the barrel pricing (DraftKings - $3,400 & FanDuel - $3,600).

Target This Top Line At Home

With much of the focus likely on Patrick Kane and Chicago's second line on home ice, the top line for the Blackhawks featuring Jonathan Toews, Brandon Saad, and Richard Panik should not go overlooked tonight. They draw a sneaky good matchup against a banged up Anaheim team that has allowed the most shot attempts among available road teams tonight. This bodes well for Toews and his fellow linemates, who have generated the most scoring chances per game on the slate.

Multi-Point Value Play On The Wing

The Vegas Golden Knights may be the biggest surprise in the National Hockey League so far this season, winning three straight games and posting a 6-1 record. Despite the great start, I just dont buy it and I still think this is a team we can attack on a nightly basis, especially considering they are now without both of their starting goaltenders (Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban). We should also keep in mind that Vegas has had a pretty weak schedule to date, and they have been outshot badly in their last two games, and I think we see more of the that moving forward. Look for the Chicago Blackhawks to dominate this game, with both of their top two scoring lines breaking through. Both Richard Panik and Ryan Hartman are inexpensive to roster and they provide you with multi-point potential.
