WFT QB Ryan Fitzpatrick suffers hip subluxation, to be placed on IR

Fitzpatrick had to leave during the game against the Chargers, and will be placed on IR due to a hip subluxation. The injury will cost him 6-8 weeks, and the plan is to roll with Taylor Heinicke. Because the Football Team plays on Thursday against the New York Giants, Heinicke will be in play for showdown purposes despite the short week and tough matchup.

Jakeem Grant active Sunday; Tua Tagovailoa inactive

Jakeem Grant is active Sunday, and he will have Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB after Tua Tagovailoa was ruled inactive. Tagovailoa reportedly could miss multiple weeks, but more information should be available next week.

Tua Tagovailoa reportedly out today, Ryan Fitzpatrick expected to start

As expected after being downgraded to doubtful yesterday, Tua Tagovailoa is now reportedly out for today. That means the Dolphins are expected to start Ryan Fitzpatrick for the first time since Week 6. While Tagovailoa had done a great job managing the game for the Dolphins, Fitzpatrick is more likely to push the ball down field and take risks. This will mean more interceptions, but also more opportunity for big days from his passing weapons.

Tua Tagovailoa has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday, meaning he is almost certainly out for Week 12. The Dolphins have a strong option at QB in Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is now likely to start. In this case, having the backup QB play is probably an upgrade for the passing options in this offense.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Starting Over Josh Rosen at Buffalo Sunday

Fitzpatrick has been named the Dolphins Week 7 starter, just two days after coach Brian Flores said he expected Rosen to remain in the starting spot. Fitzpatrick is clearly the better QB at this point, so the move does give the Dolphins' offense a boost, although their next game is against a tough Bills' defense.

Josh Rosen Expected to be Dolphins' Week 7 Starter

Coach Brian Flores said he expects Josh Rosen to the be the starter for the Dolphins going forward, but he did leave some doubt. He said, "we'll see how it goes this week in practice, but Josh is the starter." As of Monday it appears Rosen will get another start despite his awful performance on the season, averaging 5.2 yards per attempt with a 1-5 TD-INT ratio.

Josh Rosen Starting at QB for Dolphins Week 3

Rosen has displaced Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Dolphins' starting QB for Week 3. Miami is an absolute mess, so it is doubtful Rosen produces any DFS value. Rosen has appeared in two games this season and completed 8 of 21 passes for 102 yards and 2 INT's. It's hard to imagine the Dolphins can play any worse with Rosen in for Fitzpatrick, but don't expect improvement either.
